Adjustor stick I bought a 1990 Toyota Celica with this unit already installed and it worked great until i noticed the (skip track/Volume adjustment) thing would not turn the volume up (only down) so i took out the removable faceplate and took it apart.. i found that the part that clicks and is attached to the curcuit board or whatever it is was loose and even if i put it where it belonged it would no longer click when i tried to turn the volume up.. I need to know where i can get one of these little doohickeys ... or if i cant :(
You can try radio shack or online but some of the switches in car audio can be very hard to find you may try emailing aiwa with the model # and the problem they may be able to get the parts for you

The electric choke requires additional power to operate which is why it needs to be charged before the engine will start. Without the electric choke, the engine will not receive the proper amount of fuel needed to run properly. To fix this, you will need to replace the electric choke with an aftermarket unit that does not require charging.
You need a feeler gauge and a socket on the Crank. Rotate until the Lash is out of the Cam (NOT LIFTED and install the Feeler Gauge and loosen and then tighten to be within spec. You will need to rotate the engine a few times and keep track of the ones you do.
You may want to check your motor mounts. If the mounts are broken or just too old they will cause the engine to have excessive vibration your notice also when shifting to drive or reverse it will feel like the vehicle jumps. replacing the mounts will help if they are damaged or may be that the vehicle needs a tune up.
When my car had this problem it was frayed cable. The frayed wires can catch on the inside of the cable jacket or at the end of the cable. That would be my suggestion.
same thing with mine. except the clock only worked once. i took it out and bought another one out of a junkyard. these cars aren't easy to find in junkyards, mainly because they are invincible, but you could try checking around.
try replacing the thermostat. it shouldnt cost very much at all if you buy it and install it yourself. i had to do it to mine and its a fairly easy repair.
Sounds like the connection from the battery to the chassis ground is bad. Try replacing the Negative battery wire and make sure where it attaches to the frame is as rust free as possible
