Greetings,
usually this would be either a cartridge or a fuser.since you changed a cartridge and it's still there.most likely it is the fuser.

you could double check by doing a half stop test.start a print from tray 1 and when the trailing edge of paper is just entering the machine, open the printer to stop print and take out the cartridge, open it's shutter and look at it's drum and the paper just underneath.if the issue ios not at either of those places, then probably the fuser.

if you take out the fuser ,you may be able to see an issue with a fuser roller.like a tear or other anamoly.
Also More than likely your fuser is peeling. Pretty easy to check...power down printer and pull rear door then unlatch the fuser and look at the fuser rollers...more than likely the bottom roller is peeling on one side...you'll know it when you see it...

Regards,

I get a black line down the left side of the page when a document is printed

Either the black cartridge is bad or the fuser roller is bad. Pull out the black cartridge and gently pull down the flap that runs across the cartridge. Look at the drum inside. If you don't see a line running around the drum or a clump of toner on the drum where the black line appears on the paper, your problem is a bad fuser.

I have a grey/black line all the way down the right hand side of the page

Run a half test.
Put paper in the manual feed tray.
Print something, anything
When the paper is 1/2 way into the printer, open the cover.
Pull out the toner cartridge. Look down at the paper.
Does it have a black line on the right side?
If yes, replace the cartridge. If no, replace the fuser.

Xerox Phaser 7700 printing Black line across bottom of every page

The line could be caused by contamination on the black laser lens. Try using the cleaning wand located in the front door to clean the lens. You will need to remove the waste toner container to access the wand slots. If that does not solve the problem, the black developer housing may need to be replaced. Hp laserjet 4 plus - keep getting a horizontal black line

yes you have to catch printer making the line and then as a page is being printed you need to open door to stop paper after green cylinder(drum) as it is entering fuser, then you need to remove paper from printer without pulling through the fuser, if you see the line then rub your finger across line up and down page, if it smears at all then its the cartridge if not then the fuser

SOLID BLACK LINE FROM LEAD EDGE TO TRAIL EDGE

"dk" means the the life black drum is over. You need to replaced the drum and blade. Or you can replaced the whole drum cartridge. The line that you are getting from one of the blades, more likely from the black drum. Pull out all the drum check if there is toner on the drums.

Line across the page

  1. Make a copy by using the platen mode and ADF.
  2. Send a print from your PC or print out the Counter list from User tools/counter button.
  3. Try printing one colour at a time - Black, Cyan, Yellow or Magenta.
If when printing, there is no line across the pages, so you need to clean the optics mirrors and exposure glass.
If the line appears in both 1 and 2 mentioned above, you have the fuser roller or drum damaged.
If the line appears in all colour prints, check the fuser or transfer belt.
If it happens only with one particular colour, check that drum unit.

Good luck and please rate me, thanks.
