I recently downloaded a video for coby and changed them into MTV format in order to get them on my coby. I sychronized the video I wanted to the coby with no problem or error. When I unplugged the Coby (I used the eject button and waited untill it said I could unplug) and went on to the MP3 player it did not show the video. I double checked and sure enough, my video was in the MOVIE.DIR file.
I don't know why it is not showing up on my Coby and help would be appreciated.

Hi princessb515...
You are trying to play a video with the wrong video format...you have to change the video format for it to work on your MP3 player...
Check your manual to see what video format it needs...
It will probably be MP4.
Go to this webpage and download your FREE media format converter...
Please take time to rate me thumbs up
Check the specification of your MP3 player to determine thetype of video file format it uses.
Most common video files that MP3 players use are, AVI andWMV, there may be others such as FLV, MOV and DivX.
If your player cannot play a video then it is anincompatible video file format, then you need to convert that video file to aformat that your MP3 player uses.

Your Coby MP-610 Player is capable of viewing MTV file formats with maximum video resolution of 160 x 128.
There are many MTV video converters available on the net but i strongly recommend the E.M. Video Converter by eTinySoft to convert your movies into MTV format and play it on your Coby MP-610.
well when i used coby media manager it had a video converter in the video option on the side.i had to register my coby before the software use with its serial # on a sticker located on the back of the device! then i simply used the sycronize feature in the video option on the coby with a video preferbly avi files or others and right click syncronize and it should convert it and then transfer!
You can go to the coby website they have a zip file download with converter....Just download it and install.I find however that you may have some issues converting .avi files.I think its because avi is a container not really a formatt of such...so not all .avi files are the same.Try converting from .mov format ..That is Quicktimes format.
I had to recode or reconvert my downloaded youtube .flv video from .avi to .mov before the MTV Video converter would work right. The output file will be a .mtv file.So try using .mov files instead of .avi.
