SOURCE: The inner tub is out of balance and rubbing against the outer tub
The rear bearing is part of the back half of the outer tub. In some cases the basket will need replaced also if the shaft is scored. This is a big job. In most cases whirlpool will warranty the parts for 10 years but not the labor. Will need to check in your owners manual. Hope this helps
SOURCE: frigidaire front loader washer
one of the welds on your inner stainless steal tub may have broke causing the drop of your tub. The tub has a warranty on it but the labor to put it in is around 3hrs give or take any hour.
SOURCE: ge profile won't drain
Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too.
Rate me pl.....if helped.
SOURCE: spin cycle very loud,
spin surpport defective,,,this part is under warranty,,lifetime warranty..contact whirlpool for replacement of spin basket,,onthejopb
SOURCE: Leaking around center spindle gasket of outer plastic basket
There was a hole in the plastic liner tub from the inner metal basket rubbing on it during the spin cycle. I got some plastic cement and put it in there and it willl hold for a little while while anyway. Not a very well designed washer when you look into the guts of the monster.

I knew I should have posted this before drilling those holes. But the BLUE water was leaking out of the ring before I touched it, so I assumed it got in there and needed to get out. I have 3 options: I can refill the ring with water and plug the holes with an epoxi resin, leave it empty or buy a new ring for $75. (How dificult would a new one be to install?) (I don't have a manual) Here is my other problem. The suspension rod and spring assemblies are covered by the 5 year warranty. Unfortunately the only way I can get those parts is if I pay for a GE service tech to come and do a service call and then he will get them under the warranty.. Otherwise each assembly is $61 per GE Parts Depart.
Now that I think about it, the added mass of the ring may be so great that it offset any small discrepencies in the tub assembly and since the fluid was leaking out on it's own, when one of the chambers inside the ring drained out it cause the whole thing to be greatly unballanced. When I drained the entire ring I brought the system closer to being balance but now the small discepencies are having an effect when the spin cycle hits full speed. It may be I needed a new ring the whole time. Maybe I should fix that and then call the service tech. What do you think?
here is an interesting question: does the ring come pre filled with water or does it have to be filled during installation with some kind of balancing procedure?
Well, I replaced the Balance Assembly (took 2 weeks to get the part), unfortunately the system still goes unbalanced at peak spin and clanks like crazy. I think I may have to call in the GE specialist. Anything else I can do to isolate the problem befor I call them? Thanks
