Our BenQ 46w1 is having problems maintaining optimal color, it fades to black and red "nightvision" type picture. However it does not do this during any HD program and is temporarily fixed by switching the imput. We have changed all cables and have changed direct inputs through cable box, dvd, vcr and the wii. Any thoughts would be helpfull.
We have a 60" panasonic rear projection television and the color fades in and out. What do you think is the problem the tv is only two years old and is now starting to apear in black and white sometimes. What can be the problem?

upon furter inspection, we have found what we believe to be a poorly soldered IC on one of the PCBs. When we apply pressure on IC U18 on the Video PCB, the problem goes away. When we release pressure from U18, the problem re-appears. Since there appears no way to resolder this, I need to find a replacement board. The board is version A, CPT 4319614003, Video PCB-V00D. There is a sticker on the board W00D-A 1C3453367. If you have one of these, or can recommend a repair solution, please post. Thanks!

I have a similar problem with a Pioneer PDP43 plasma TV screen. when connecting via HDMI to DVD player, the picture quality is fine - but when using the input 1 or input 3 RGB component input, the picture is fine for 5-10 seconds before fading to black and cutting out. After a few minutes the picture starts to return slowly but always remains black and white. if I change inputs and change back the picture returns to normal for another 5-10 secs before repeating the cycle. I have tried RGB inputs in both input 1 and input 3 , and tried different sources of RGB input (set-top sattelite / playstation 2) with exactly the same results. any help appreciated!
our problem for the BenQ happened to be the input computer board. (the smallboard that all the inputs are attatched to) 4 screws to remove board, a call to BenQ for the replacement part and a hundred bucks fixed the problem.
Ours was also only 2 1/2 yrs old. Good Luck!
