SC 544 is a fuser overheat error. This could be caused by power outage or fluctuation in the power.
go to service mode. Hold down both "home" and "simple screen" for about 5 sec. and then press "user tools"
once in service mode go to SP5810 reset fuser error.
and reboot the machine.

that seems as firmware update issue

In my humble opinion, as for as I know, you cannot update the firmware outside the service station or factory. Specialized jigs; procedures and skills are needed.

Even if you manage to enter the 'Service Mode' it cannot help to upload files especially firmware.

How did you get the firmware at the first place.

does it have wireless capability? most ricoh/savin/lanier/gestetner machines must have an option installed.

if you have it networked via lan port and have a wireless access point on the same network you should be able to ping the unit and access the gui. if so it is already "wireless" in a sense

This is an error code for the RFID which is the toner bottle chip on the the toner bottles. I would suggest you check the toner cartridges for any damaged or disconnected chips, have you changed to non ricoh toners as this can sometimes cause a problem. Check each bottle if you have any old empty bottles insert one of these into corresponding colour slot and you can then see which bottle is causing the error. Failing this the board will need to be changed. I have had errors on non ricoh bottles. you can also vac out the slot to clear spilt toner. hope this helps

If it works fine for paper but not this application the machine is not designed for what you are using it for. You will damage the fusing unit. When it does not properly fuse the image the heat is insufficient and thus it does not transfer the image properly. Use the thickest paper type for best results.

Press the mode /clear (yellow)key press 107 press more than 4 seconds the stop/clear(red) key and in display SP mode.
