Fridge doorhandle bracket

My refrigerator door handle fell off because the one of the metal brackets inside broke. I tried to order a new one from the service department phone number listed on the inside of the fridge. I have tried 3x to explain what the bracket looks like and they keep sending me the wrong one (even though I have given them the model and serial numbers).

The bracket inside the handle has a hole that fits onto a bolt sticking out of the fridge door. Once the holes are aligned I slide the handle down and it locks it into place. Should be an easy fix...right?! I noticed several people explaining this exact door handle. Where can I find the bracket or part number???

Please HELP

The inside bracket is not a separate part you will need to order a new handle that already will come with that bracket

Possible the source of the trouble you are having is the bracket might not be available or available separately.

Most parts lists have an exploded drawing showing all the parts and these are an invaluable aid to obtaining the correct spare parts.

I suggest you ask the service department to fax or email a drawing to you.

The handles are probably attached with screws from the back -- this will require removing some panel(s) to access them.

Samsung French door fridge freezer handle came loose. The ***** on the right side fell into the back of the handle attachment so it won't go flush with the fridge.

Hello Marilyn;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

You did not provide a model number which is located on a label on the inside liner of your fresh food section.

Usually the door handles are held on in one of two ways.

1.) Inspect the sides of the door handles. Are there small allen wrench screws - tighten them.

2.) Ok, no screws on the side. There are mounting brackets screwed onto the door. At times the screws become loose. Use a little muscle and pull the handle up hard to release from the bracket. Tighten the screws on the bracket to the door. Position the handle back on the bracket and pull the handle down hard until secure.

How do I tighten door handle on whirlpool fridge how do I get to the screws model gb2fhdwq02

Hello Tim;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

You have one of two door attachments:

1.) There are two 3/32" K set screws (Allen Head) at the top and bottom of each handle. Back off these screws until the handle comes off. The is a stud with a screw - tighten and reattach the handle.

2.) There are two brackets mounted to each refrigerator door. One at the top and one at the bottom. At the top of each bracket is a oversize hole. On the back of the handle there are two screws. These screws fit into the oversize hole. Then you push down into a slot to secure the handle. To remove the handle you push up on the handle until the door handle screws are into the oversize holes.
The screws on the door bracket often become loose. Tighten these screws. Sometimes the mounting screws on the door handle become loose as well.
Be careful, if you tighten everything up too much you will not be able to remount the door handle. Adjust the screws for a tight fix

Interior door handle is broken in saab 93s how do you fix problem

I'VE GOT A SIMPLE SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM!
August 16, 2012

My Mother-in-law has a 2004 Saab 9-3 convertible, she wasn't able to find a fix for this problem because the plastic bracket that holds the door cable in place on the inside of the door panel broke off and it's actually part of the door panel itself. Since the bracket broke, pulling on the inside door handle would no longer pull the cable that's need to open the door.
She was out of luck and had to roll the window down to use the outside door handle to exit the car (that gets annoying really fast).
Basically without rigging it, she would've needed a replacement door panel because of this ridiculos design flaw (around $600 + installation if you could even find the panel, she couldn't because Government Motors SUCKS!) .

I simply used an L bracket that I had (can find it at any Home Depot, Lowe's etc.) and used two sets of channel lock pliers to bend it into a "squared" J shape. I then drilled 2 holes into the inside metal door frame and used 2 sheet metal screws to secure the bracket to the door frame. To make sure that I mounted the new and improved bracket that I created in the proper location (not too much or too little slack). I simply made a template with a sheet of paper by tracing where the old molded plastic bracket was in relation to the two screw holes of the door panel ( actually had to mount the bracket about an inch forward to make up the difference since the bracket is no longer attached to the door panel).
I also had to drill the **** in the bracket a bit to make sure the cable wouldn't get hung up on it when pulled, but in all it only took 15 mintues to redesign GM's crappy design.
Here are 2 pictures, hope this will solve your issue with your broken handle.

How to change the doors on fridge freezer

Good day,
First. Save and mark all shims and bushings you remove in the process. As well remove all food from both doors.
1. Remove bracket from top of the refrigerator with the door closed.
Once removed, open top door with 2 hands about 1 foot.
Lift off.
2. Remove center bracket and remove as in step one.
3. The bottom bracket can be removed and mounted on the other side, reversing it's orientation. (pin sticking up).
4. remove both handles and remount on other side.
There are many plugs that must be removed, to uncover new screw holes. Some may be covered with emblems, but can be pried out with a small screw driver.
5. Reinstall in reverse order checking for alignment as you proceed.
6. Push in all removable plugs when complete.

Handle pin broke

this happened to mine while still under warranty, eventually the repair man brought a small replacement part which took 5 minutes to fix, but not before a previous engineer had ordered a complete new door. you should be able to get the part ordered, and it would be easy to replace yourself. Now my FP oven has broken down again
