hi sir. any rechargable battery is to be treated like that way 1 -never leave the empty battery without charging any way because if you get it uncharged for one day you loose life time 2- charge it emmideatly after use for two hours or to end charging sign 3- evry two months try to completly discharge it and re charge 4- don't leave the batt, not working for more that 4 months 5- if you want to leave for more that 3 months charge it well and comletly please don't forget to do excelent rate cause i here to help you regards

Well Durabrand is a walmart brand but fry's sales these external batteries that will hold alot more play time then it would to replace this for a new battery. And the cost is $49.00. You will get extended play time for the fraction of the cost of replacment batteries!! I hope this does help you out.
