Try run the computer on main power and check.
If it still does not run then it is issue with the power circuit on computer and make sure this check the power adaptor working properly by connecting to another computer. "It is turning out to be hardware issue. Contact gateway then

Sounds like either there is a bad connection from the computer to the monitor, or the monitor has a faulty power regulator, causing the monitor to overheat prematurely, and shut off.
Most common failure in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed Dell monitors to get some ideas what goes wrong: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further.
Look for caps with bulging top in the power supply section first, post back what you see inside so we can guide you further, see example of failed monitors due to bad caps: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Hi my name is Rain.
Ok so that im clear on the problem. your monitor will come on but in a matter of seconds it goes to a black screen?
If this is the problem. The answers you seek will most likely
be in your video card.
Try this test:
Unplug monitor from the computer.
Turn on monitor .
Look for monitor self test screen.
If you see the monitors self test screen then your problem indeed is
the video card . You will need to replace the video card inside of the computer.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but you called it, the monitor needs to be replaced. Now all we have to do is set the actual time of death...only kidding. Take care, Dana
try to desconnect or unplug your hard drive, if you see a black screen with a bunch of white letters, you hard drive is crashed, if not try to conect a second monitor (external) tru you vga connector, if work fine you have a lcd problem===>>>reemplace asap.
How old is the computer? Make sure that the power light comes onto the monitor when you plug it in, should be orange and then turn green when video card syncs with it when PC is turned on. If you are getting black screen when PC is powered on:
1. Bad video card
2. Bad video cable
3. Bad monitor
1Solution: Try using a different monitor attached to this same PC and see if it works. If it does, then its the monitor, its cable, or its power supply. If it doesn't work, then its the video card or the video cable coming from monitor.
Unplug the cable from your PC, if the monitor shows a test image, the monitor is fine and the problem is with your graphic card.
If you dont see nothing on-screen after unpluging the cable from the PC, then the monitor in damaged. Send it to repair.
