Can I get help with connecting my smart tv to internet as its not working for me thanks a million :)

Hi, commonly these TVs use a network cable for connecting to Internet through a router, another TVs are wireless enabled, in this case you need a WiFi router to get Internet in your smart TV. The process is similar as you connect a computer to Internet but the keyboard of your TV is the remote control, some smart TVs can work with standard wireless keyboards and mices to surf Internet as with a computer.

Wireless conection

To enable or setup the wireless on a modem router you usually have to connect the computer to the router with a lan cable first, go in to the routers settings, most routers use the web browser to access the settings but read the manual for the correct procedure. Then you put in your account details supplied by your internet service provider.
Enable wireless and apply security settings like a wep key, wpa, or wpa2 passkey. Restart the router, remove the lan cable and you're done.
When any wireless device tries to connect it will need the wep key, wpa, or wpa2 passkey to be entered to allow access.

Contact their customer service via email. Western Digital customer service is very, very good. They will give you detailed instructions on how to do everything on their products. I had a problem where my Mac OS upgraded and it didn't coordinate with my backup drive. Customer service told me why and gave me the work around. It saved me having to get another backup drive.

What is remote access server? And what does it enables me to do?

Remote access allows you to connect your PC from a remote location using the Internet. The entire working environment of your computer is brought over the wire to wherever you are, eliminating the need for synchronizing between laptops and desktops.

Wireless router wont connect to the internet

this would be mine that no computer is connecting to the Internet right now?

here's what we need to do. We need to identify first what Internet connection type you have in there.

have checked connection on the network as well, first and foremost - modem-router-computer is the connection you have.

For cable connection, you need to do a mac cloning on the computer

For DSL connection you need to have a PPPoE connection type on the router

For cable connection:
> access the router setup screen -
> on your IE - address bar 192.168.1.1
> no username and password is admin
> on the setup tab there is a mac clone service
> enable it and hit the clone button
> save the settings after

For DSL connection:
> access the router setup screen -
> on your IE - address bar 192.168.1.1
> no username and password is admin
> under setup tab - look for internet connection type
> set it to PPPoE connection
> try to connect and save the settings there.

Limit or no conectivity problem

I understand that you are using the Windows Internet Connection Sharing to share your internet connection to your other computer.

If you don't have a router to share the connection then you are using Windows ICS connection.

When you enable ICS, the network adapter connected to the local area network is assigned a static IP address of 192.168.0.1.

You can check this site for more information
http://www.annoyances.org/exec/show/ics_xp

You can try to connect the two computers first without the internet connection.

Example : PC A 192.168.0.2
You can set the IP addresses manually, just set the tcp/ip properties and from that area you can set the IP address manually.

And for PC B 192.168.0.3
You dont need to set the ip address for the gateway and dns since you are just testing the connection of the two computer.

They should belong to the same workgroup example HOME and set the computer name to PC1 and PC2.

You can right click MY COMPUTER then select PROPERTIES then you will able to see the computer name.

To start the wizard
1.
Choose Control Panel from the Start menu.
2.
Click Network and Internet Connections, and then click Set up or change your home or small office network.
