SOURCE: Need help installing filter pump model 635 for my swimming pool

Just go to the Intex Corp link below. Choose the appropriate pool and/or pump. At the bottom of the page you will see a link for instructional manuals and videos. Hope that helps.

http://www.intexstore.com/ProductList.aspx?categoryID=30

Oh yeah, by the way...you may want to start looking around for another pump for that pool if you plan on using it more than a year. I have had mine for 3 years and I spend more time in the pool vacumming than I do in the house!! The 635 pump is not strong enough for the 18x52 pool nor does it filter out fine silt and sand...it sucks it up and spits it right back into the pool thru the return. Good luck to you

SOURCE: swimming pool liner hole

If you go down to the bottom of the pool with a small block of wood (make sure the edges are rounded and sanded) and a hammer you can probally hammer the rock back into the ground. If you just pound it flush you can probally patch it just fine at that point.

How do I seal a pool leak

Pretty vague question.

Vinyl, plaster or fiberglass pool?

If Vinyl and you located the origin of the leak, use a vinyl patch kit.

If Plaster, there are underwater curing, 2 part epoxy putties available, but this like the above patch, will be a "Band-Aid" repair.
Better way: drain pool to the crack, hole or whatever sacrifice in the shells integrity, and then cut/enlarge the leaking area and use a white "Hydraulic, non/minimal shrink Mortar".

If fiberglass, use a fiberglass repair kit.

Now if you do not know where the leak is, that is a whole different arena. Do you know how much water loss you have?
Does it leak more when pumps are running?
Is water loss the same amount if pumps are off?
Any moisture around the equipment?
Any mushy areas in the landscaping between the pool and equipment?
Good luck

How to fix a hole in a swimming pool liner

  • Get some food coloring...
    • Squeeze bottle works best
    • Or pool leak detection Dye
  • get some good goggles...
  • get in the pool, start at one specific area...
  • and take a deep breath...
  • Now follow all the seams 1st, squeeze some dye in a suspected area and watch. If the dye gets sucked in, there's a leak! If it just puddles and hangs around, keep checking somewhere else.
  • Once a lead IS found, vinyl liner pool patch! Can even be used under water.

Above ground pool leak

Is this an above ground pool or an in ground pool? As a general rule you don't want vinyl to go too long without water. Water helps things stay in place. If the vinyl starts to shrink and bow inward there is a good chance that it will lose its elasticity and split when the pool is being refilled. I would advise you to go ahead and refill the pool. Leaks can be repaired underwater. In the event of a split I'd go back to the installer and pursue a new liner at his expense.

The tube around my intex pool has a leak, how do I find it and fix it?

Your picture above is of a pool float, but I assume you are talking about an inflatable ring pool. Is that right? If so, this link will take you through a tutorial on how to find and repair pool leaks:

A hole in the lining below water levle

That is a tough one ,,, the best repair is to the inside of a dry liner . The repair involves liquid cement and a vinyl patch, so seems to me impossib]le to do under water. Now if you have patience and a knack ,, you might get away with a temporary patching by putting a bare piece of vinyl inside to block the leak and then dry the outside and apply a patch there over the hole .. not saying this is your ultimate solution, or a permanent solution .. but you might think about it anyway ..

I have two holes in the bottom of my pool how do I fix them

The easiest way to patch a hole in a vinyl pool liner is with the water still in the pool. With an inexpensive underwater repair kit, some swimming goggles and a few hours to allow the patch to cure, you will be back to enjoying your aquatic playground. jQuery('.intro .thumbnail').each(function(i,e){ jQuery(e).find('img').one('error',function(){ jQuery(e).remove(); }); }); Difficulty: Easy Instructions Things You'll Need:
  • Pool repair kit (underwater) Rag Scissors Swimsuit Swimming goggles
  1. Step 1 Locate the tear in the liner. You may need to get into the pool and examine the surface wearing swimming goggles.
  2. Step 2 Read the patching kit instructions thoroughly before starting the job.
  3. Step 3 Clean debris from the area around the tear using a rag.
  4. Step 4 Use scissors to cut a patch for the hole. Use the vinyl from the repair kit to for the patch. Be sure it is at least 2 inches in diameter and will cover the entire hole.
  5. Step 5 Use applicator brush that comes with kit to apply adhesive to the back of the vinyl patch. Do not apply too much adhesive or the patch will not cure properly.
  6. Step 6 Fold the patch in half. The adhesive should be on the inside of the fold.
  7. Step 7 Enter the pool2_bing.gif water and relocate the area in need of patching. If hole is accessible from the outside of the pool, there is no need to get into water.
  8. Step 8 Hold patch underwater as close to the hole as possible. Unfold patch while underwater and apply to the hole.
  9. Step 9 Press the patch firmly while smoothing it from the center to the outside edges. This will help remove any excess air bubbles or water from under the patch surface.
  10. Step 10 Let patch cure as indicated on repair kit instructions.
