How do you reset a KitchenAid dishwasher model: KUDE70FXSS4?

Press High Temp Scrub and Dry Heat option buttons in quick succession one after the other for about 6 sec until all the lights come on. Then press Cancel button. This should reset the dishwasher. Press equivalent buttons on the panel if the actual ones above are not there.
Make sure the dishwasher detergent dispenser lid is shut and the dishwasher door is shut before you start the above reset sequence.

Kenmore dishwasher model #665 15872000 is stuck on time saver option for washing and I can't get it to switch to any of the other options such as normal wash

Similar Kenmore Dishwasher 665.18664000. Time saver and Quick rinse were the only programs that would run. I pressed "high temp scrub" then "air dry" then "high temp scrub" then "air dry" and the machine went into a diagnostic mode and counted down from 10 while running a series of tests. After about 10 minutes and various test cycles the machine reset and the "normal wash" light had come back on. If this doesn't work then you may have a problem with the controller which other threads have mentioned replacing yourself for about $120.

I am trying to clean earthen pottery plates in my dish washer and after washing half of the plates disappear.

The Kenmore PRO also has an Ultra Wash Filtration High Energy Filtration System that helps the majority of us with hard water. It features 2 spray arms, and a Turbozone that blasts away the most gunked up items you can make a mess on.

The Kenmore PRO also features 6 cycles. The High Energy Smart Wash Cycle is the most advanced and versatile. It actually senses the load size, soil amount, toughness of soil and uses minimal water and energy. The Smart Wash Cycle runs from 110 minutes to a max of 194 depending on toughness of soil and uses from 4.2 gallons of water to 6.9.

The Pots Pans Cycle also makes some adjustments depending on soil level and takes from 140 minutes to 203 minutes to complete. It uses 4.8 to 6.9 gallons of water.

There is also a self-adjusting Normal Cycle that runs from 110 minutes to 193 minutes and uses 4.2 gallons to 6.9 gallons of water.

The Kenmore PRO also has a self-adjusting China Gentle Cycle that provides a light wash and gentle dry for delicate items and runs from 105 minutes to 194 minutes and uses 4.2 gallons to 6.9 gallons of water.

It also has a 1 Hour Wash that runs for 58 minutes and uses 8.0 gallons of water and a 15 minute Quick Rinse Cycle that uses 2.1 galllons of water.

The Kenmore PRO also has 5 other options that are additional to the Cycles. Each option adds time and water to the selected cycle. They are:

TurboZone, HI Temp Wash which raises the water temperature to 120 degrees F, a Steam Sanitize which raises the final rinse to 155 degrees F, a Top-Rack Only Option, and a Heated Dry Option.

The Kenmore PRO also has a Delay Option that allows you to run the dishwasher on off-peak hours and delays the start time up to 6 hours.

I have not field-tested all these options yet, becaue I am such a skeptic -- and picky about my dishes, I usually go ahead and always use the TurboZone, the Hi-Temp Wash, the Steam Sanitizer, and the Heated Dry Option. But, hey if you are plunking down $1500 for a dishwasher--you should make use of all your options. I'll keep this review up-to-date as my dates with the Kenmore PRO progress with dinner parties and my very precious china, but for now (mostly because of the "ClangBanger") our good china is safely stored in the cabinets.

Green start button won't stop blinking

START/RESET status indicator light flashing

You have pressed the indicator light flashing START/RESET pad while the START/RESET dishwasher is running. This will cancel the cycle. The light will stop flashing after the dishwasher drains (about 90 seconds).

Press the pad once to start the dishwasher. Press the pad a second time when the dishwasher is running only if you wish to cancel the cycle.

Power to the dishwasher was turned off while a cycle was running and power has just been restored to the dishwasher. The blinking lights indicate that the dishwasher is draining the potential water inside.

The light will stop flashing after the dishwasher drains. A new cycle will start automatically.

Good luck

Here again is my model and serial it stops in the middle of the cleaning cycle Kenmore 665.16773402 serial # ft0302854 Here is how I have been resetting the dishwasher. I hit the following sequence of...

Door latch.
Open and close the door to make sure the door latch is securely fastened

Hi-Temp Wash, Hi-Temp Rinse, or Sanitize options.
Some models have options that may require a water heating delay, such as Hi-Temp Wash, Hi-Temp Rinse, or Sanitize. Additional time may be required to heat the water to the proper temperature. The dishwasher will continue to circulate water during this heating delay but the timer will not advance until the proper temperature is reached

Cancel Light Flashing on Kitchen Aid Dishwasher

I ran into this same problem. Cutting the power didnt reset it.

After power reset, mine had the normal led blinking. If I pressed cancel, then the cancel and china button leds would start blinking too.

I pulled out the trouble shooting guide (from behind the baseboard kick panel under the dishwasher door). It that if the dishwasher wont run and button LEDs are blinking there is a short circuit in the keypad. It gave a keypad diagnostic sequence which I followed. (disconnect keypad and try to initiate the diagnostic cycle without the keypad by disconecting the yellow leads to OWI sensor twice in less than 6 seconds.

I could hear the diagnostic cycle start, so the problem is a bad keypad. Will order a new one tomorrow and let you know if it works.

Kenmore Dishwasher 665.15891792

It's unfortunate that this question has been posted since Nov. 18, 2007, but this is a non-problem.  If any curiosity (still) exists, the dishwasher is (or was) in its "Control Lock" mode -- provided as a safety measure to prevent injury to small children, etc.  This mode is exited, or entered, in the same way -- by holding the "No Heat Dry" button (or pad) for 4 seconds.  I hope a new dishwasher wasn't purchased because of this, as it's explained in the operator's manual (the "Use & Care Guide" pg. 16).
