1 Plug in the ICF-C218 in a well-ventilated area free of moisture.

  • 2 Press "Clock" if you are not in the U.K. and need to set the time manually. Hold it for two seconds.
  • 3 Press the + and - buttons until the year is set correctly.
  • 4 Press "Clock" once you've set the year, and repeat this process for the day, hour and minute.
  • 5 Slide the "Alarm Mode" toggle to either "Radio" or "Buzzer," depending on your personal preference.
  • 6 Slide the "Alarm Time Set" toggle to either the + or - side until you've reached the time you want your alarm to go off at. Hold it down to adjust in 10-minute increments

My Sony Dream Machine won't save the correct time. When I set the date, it defaults back to 2009, and even when I get the correct time set, the clock won't advance. It's been 8:52 PM for...

My wife's unit has the same issue - tried the firmware update (from Sony's website) and their suggested fix with no luck. Still works as a digital picture frame, but wrong date and stuck time kind of disappoint.

FYI - Suggested fix for stuck date/time:

    Unplug unit.
    Remove backup battery.
    Leave for 30 seconds.
Plug back in and then put battery back.
    Set date and time.

Didn't work for me, but maybe you'll have better luck.

Wharfedale DECT TAM telephone/answer machine is flashing CL on the main answer machine base unit. This message is not indicated in the user manual can you please advise? Many Thanks Steven Clifford

This is due to the base unit losing power and needs the clock resetting.
The handsets retain their clocks under battery power so this is a little misleading.

To reset the base unit clock:
    - press the OK key
    - press the 'down' arrow twice until "DATE/TIME" is displayed.
    - press the OK key again, this will display the year. Enter the correct year on the handset numeric keypad and then press OK. (Only the last two digits of the year need to be entered).
    - The date is then displayed in MM/YY format, enter the correct date on the handset numeric keypad and then press OK.
    - The time is then displayed, enter rhe correct time on the handset numeric keypad and press OK.
    - The handset then beeps and displays "SAVED".
    - Press the "C" button and replace the handset on the base unit.

The base unit should now stop flashing "CL".
