I need pvr data for my yukai h-230 - Mustek PVR-H230 MP3 Player

you can try downloading a data recovery program and you just may be able to get the software back try easy recovery

This happened to me too. Just unscrew the 4 screws, lift out the hard drive and glue it back down to where it was (2 little pegs will fit into two little holes on the circuit board. You can touch the contacts with a thin tipped soldering iron if you want to but you probably don't need to.Then close it up. That worked for me!

Why does my pvr keep freezing
Sorry can't help on this. Presumably you've switched off/on at mains and checked all connections secure. Would a factory reset help, see tips how to do on fixya, although not sure if you would lose library data.

How to hook up to pvr
I imagine that the PVR does not recognize the formatting on the drive as it ships with the GUID partition scheme, and many of the PVRs probably need FAT32. Since the drive you have is 1TB, then you will need to use a Mac to re-format the drive as Windows can only format up to 32GB in FAT32. p.MsoNormal, li.MsoNormal, div.MsoNormal { margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-size: 12pt; font-family: "Times New Roman"; }div.Section1 { page: Section1; } To format the drive for cross-platform or PVR use, make sure that you have backed up all your data from the drive as formatting will destroy any data on the drive. First, connect the drive to your Mac, and open Disk Utility. Then select your drive on the left side of the window and choose the Partition Tab. Then change the Current Partition drop-down menu to 1 partition and click on the Options button. A new window will appear where you will choose Master Boot Record (MBR), then click OK. Then choose Free Space from the Format drop-down menu, click Apply, then OK. Your drive will now appear unformatted. Then choose the Erase tab, choose FAT32 as the Format, name your drive (you will be limited to 11 characters), and click Erase, then OK. Your drive will then appear on the desktop formatted for cross-platform use, and you can copy the data you need to move to your PC or PVR and then connect the drive to your PC or PVR. I have the Yukai PVR-H240. It will not playback video through my TV. I am connected to video 1 on my TV but the video playback from the PMC is not displaying on my TV.

Goodmans GPDR40
14th August 2007 I've heard of this problem. The operationg system or part of it is on the hard drive so if something happens to the data the unit gets stuck at the opening window. A suggestion I've read about is to open the unit and try and reconnect the ribbon cable to the drive, it's a push on job apparently. Of course, this will invalidate your guarantee AND may not solve the problem. I've not done it myself so can't give any firsthand advice. Regards
