Hi,
the TV shut off and the led blinks 3 times (error 3- over power protection).
after a while i can turn the tv on again - for a while...
i've checked the board- havnt find anything.
any help would be greatfull.
thanks.
It is power supply problem.
your oscillator for switching ckt or switching output failure.
if you are not tech person call him for help.
it is not a major problem
good luck.

Three blinks - B+ over voltage protection (OVP), unit goes to the standby mode then displays the 3 blink fault. This is also a problem in the power supply circuit, check T603 and R672
HI, By three blink it means the B+ over voltage protection (OVP), unit goes to the standby mode then displays the 3 blink fault. This is because there is problem in the power supply circuit. Check for any dry soldering in the power supply side. If the tv is working properly for 20 minutes then its sure that there is some dry soldering joints in the power supply side. You have to resolder suspected soldering contacts using soldering ion and solder. The dry soldering joints will look like on in the picture.
Hi, 4 blink of power led shows problem in vertical deflection section and most probably vertical output IC is defective, replace it to fix the issue. Regarding .rar file type of service manual files, download winrar software trail version from internet, install it and use it to unzip .rar file to get pdf manual file. You wont get +B volts because tv switch to protection mode and power supply shuts down. Service manual has blinking standby led error code details as well. Thanks.
This model is equipped with a self-diagnosis feature to help with diagnosis of shutdown problems. To activate this turn the unit on let it shutdown then press the input and menu buttons on the front panel simultaneously and hold them in for 5 seconds after 5 seconds the power LED on the front panel will blink a two digit sequence. This will be one set of blinks a short pause then another set of blinks, this will repeat 5 times. 1 - 2 = no error detected 2 - 1 = X-ray protect (high voltage or beam current) 2 - 2 = Short protect (short protect monitors low voltage supplies) 2 - 3 = Deflection protect (this could be loss of vertical or horizontal deflection) 2 - 4 = Vertical protect (usually loss of vertical from the source) 1. SHUTDOWN AT POWER WITH SELF DIAGNOSIS ERROR 2 2. CHECK FOR LEAKY C9A60 470 PF 1000 V PART # 154P400030, PARALLEL TO D9A57 ON THE POWER PCB (NOT SHOWN IN THE SCHEMATIC).
2. SHUTDOWN AT POWER WITH SELF DIAGNOSIS ERROR 2 2. CHECK FOR OPEN FUSES F9A04 AND F9A05 PART # 283P043090 ON THE +24 AND -24 VOLT LINES. IF THE FUSES ARE OPEN THE CONVERGENCE OUTPUT CIRCUIT WOULD BE SUSPECT.
3. SELF-DIAGNOSIS INDICATES SHORT PROTECT. CHECK FOR A SHORTED IC4B01 PART # 270P261020 (VERTICAL OUTPUT) LOADING 24-VOLT SUPPLY LINE. LOCATED ON THE MAIN PCB.

Good Luck, big IRISH>
When it shuts off. Try doing what's called a self-diagnostic test. As soon as the television shuts try these steps.
Pressing on the front panel's ?INPUT? and ?MENU? buttons at the same time, and holding for 5 seconds, activates the Self Diagnostic Code Mode. The LED flashes denoting a two digit Error Code, or indicating no problem has occured since the last Initalization.
Please do Note: The front panel buttons must be used, NOT those on the Remote Control.
? The number of flashes indicates the value of the MSD (tens digit) of the Error Code. ? The flashing then pauses for approximately 1/2 second. ? The LED then flashes indicating the value of the LSD (ones digit) of the Error Code. ? The Error Code is repeated a total of 5 times. Example: If the Error Code is ?24?, the LED will flash two times, pause, and then flash four times.
The Error Code designations indicating a malfunction, or no malfunction, are listed below: Self Diagnosic Code Description 1 - 2 = no error detected 2 - 1 = X-ray protect (high voltage or beam current) 2 - 2 = Short protect (short protect monitors low voltage supplies) 2 - 3 = Deflection protect (this could be loss of vertical or horizontal deflection) 2 - 4 = Vertical protect (usually loss of vertical from the source).

If you have electronic knowledge you may be able to fix it. Let me know if I could help you further. Hope this helps.
B+ over current protection (OCP) ,i dont now where to search.Merci
