This is a push spreader, but if your question is about a tow-behind spreader, it would depend on the configuration of your tow vehicle. It's a very long stretch for me to reach the control on my tow-behind. I've had to improvise. Most important consideration is safety. Don't cause yourself to lean too much and never disable a safety feature on your mower.

As far as I know there is no primer or choke on the 675 lawn mower engine. How do you start motor without pulling plug and shooting gas in spark plug hole?

Some mowers have a type of auto choke on them. Some Briggs and Stratton choke themselves when the engine speed is slow, and un-choke when the engine reaches full rpm.

With key my riding lawn mower does not start, not even crank. Nothing happened.

Are you positive that the battery is fully charged? If so check for current reaching the starter motor. If current is there then it appears that the starter motor is no good. If no current reaches motor it is possible the ignition switch is no good.

John deere instructions

Your mower doesn't have enough power to handle very thick grass at high speed. You need to go slower across the lawn. That's easy to do if this is a push mower (just don't walk so fast) or if it's a self-propelled model with a speed control. But if it's a single-speed model you'll have to mow the lawn in fits and starts: squeeze the lever to move it forward; release it when you hear it bogging down; wait for the motor to reach full speed; squeeze the lever to move it forward again; repeat. Also, is the grass very high? If so, try setting the cutting height higher on the first pass, then lower it for a second pass. Finally, make sure the blade is sharp.

Model 944.361200.mower won,t start in colder weather, once temp gets above the70degree mark it will start, but blue smoke comes form exaust.mower will start right away every time once engine is hot.fresh gas...

I have a mower with a Honda 165cc engine that is temperamental as far as the initial start up is concerned.
Once it has started it always fires up first pull
The problem seems to be the gas is slow to reach the carb / cylinder
I have developed a ritual for starting up.
Open the gas tap.
Lean the mower back until the hand bar touches the ground.
Raise the mower and lift the hand bar so the back wheels are off the ground for a few seconds.
Fully open the throttle, Hold the ignition control back and operate the pull cord.
If it doesn't start first time I am usually rewarded with a promising fire-up.
Sounds wacky but works for me and used to spend 20 to pulls on the cord to get it to fire .

I put too much oil in my lawn mower and when I start it up it smokes

Hi patsy hale...
You need to drain the over fill of oil out of your mower, if not it could damage the engine, if it has not already done so.
If you have a drain plug it will be on the bottom of the engine under the mower housing.
Remove and drain out until you reach the right level the oil should be at.
If you do not have a drain plug under the mower then you will have to tip the mower over on its side with the oil fill plug out and drain the excess oil that way till you reach the proper level.
I hope you have not done permanet damage already, if it still smokes after a a few minutes of running then you do have major problems.

Airens 19 hp mower suddenly stopped moving and will not go back or forward. The belts all look attached although there seems to be 8 inches or so in slack. Mower runs fine.

You should have two belts. They are and upper and a lower belt. The lower drives the mower deck and the upper drives the transaxle. To reach the upper you have to lower the deck and reach up to the upper. With the brake/clutch not engaged the upper belt should not have slack in it. Check to see if the belt is broken or somehow has come off of the transaxle pulley. To get on the pulley you may have to remove the back panel of the frame to put back on. I hope this helps, if it does, please rate.

Craftsman gt 3000 will not drive.

Hi there, On the Craftsman 3000 there is a pin on the back end of the mower that when pulled outward disengages the transmission so it can be moved without it running. Sometimes this pin will stick. It is connected to a lever on the transmission try to push and pull the pin in and out a few times to see if it will free and engage again. You might have to reach under where the lever is connected to the pin rod and try to move it back into position that way. DO NOT REACH IN TO THE TRANSMISSION AREA WITH THE MOWER RUNNING!!! But the pin must be pushed inward for ingagement. This pin will let the mower just sit there like its in nutral and not go anywhere. Try it!!
