My TCL TV has a blue screen saying no signal. What button do I push on my new universal remote to get my cable tv
We have Direct TV in the house. My TCL remote was lost. Now my screen is blue with error message "no signal". I do not know what button to select on the CHUNGHOP E-T908 universal remote replacement to activate my TV again.
The replacement remote does not have a button named TV. The on/off button is red. Then the are several others to chose from that are black and white. I don't know which one to push. I already made sure all of the code's worked. The replacement remote does not have a button named TV. The on/off button is red. Then the are several others to chose from that are black and white. Universal remote codes can vary depending on the brand and model of the remote control you are using. TCL TVs are often compatible with various universal remotes, and you can typically find the codes in the remote's manual or on the manufacturer's website. However, if you don't have access to the manual, you can try the following steps to find the code:
1. **Automatic Code Search:**
- Turn on your TCL TV.
- Point the universal remote at the TV.
- Press and hold the "Code Search" or "Setup" button on the remote until the LED light turns on.
- Press the "TV" (or another applicable) button on the remote.
- The LED light should blink once and then stay solid.
- Press the "Power" button repeatedly until the TV turns off.
- Once the TV turns off, press the "Enter" or "OK" button on the remote to save the code.
2. **Manual Code Entry:**
- Find the code list that came with your universal remote or check the manufacturer's website for a list of codes.
- Turn on your TCL TV.
- Press and hold the "Code Search" or "Setup" button on the remote until the LED light turns on.
- Enter the first code for TCL TVs from the list using the number buttons on the remote.
- If the LED light blinks, check if the TV responds to the remote (try turning it off and on).
- If the TV does not respond, repeat the process with the next code until you find the correct one.
3. **Manufacturer's Support:**
- Visit the website of the universal remote's manufacturer and check if they provide code lists or support for TCL TVs.
- You may find an online tool or database to help you find the correct code for your TCL TV model.
Remember that not all universal remotes are compatible with all TV models, so it may take some trial and error to find the correct code. If none of the codes work, you may need to contact the manufacturer of your universal remote for further assistance.
I HAVE FOUND THE ANSWER!!!! I just bought an TCL TV last night and was given the wrong remote. Screen was stuck on "no media" screen BUT I noticed that when I turn the tv on and keep pressing the menu button, the menu screen would pop up for a half second before the no media screen popped up again. So I knew it was able to access it. SO, it took a few try's and with no exact method I turned the tv on, waited til I saw the TCL logo and then simultaneously pressed the menu and channel up button repeatedly. It will open the menu for you and allow you to move between the input channels!!!! It WILL take a few tries to catch it but it worked!!! Your welcome!!!!
Hello. Use the remote control and push the input button on your tv, making sure that everything is on. Go through the input menu until you get your pix back. Regards, Joe
Your nephew must have pushed the "Input" button on the remote. The TV is now looking for signal at a different input.
On the remote, press the input button until the TV switches back to the correct input. Make sure the satellite receiver is turned on so when the TV lands on the correct input, you will know it.
your TV and, your cable box both "see" a series of invisible (infared) flashes of light like morse code these flases tell them what to do.one answer is to: buy a universal remote so that you can program a button for each device then when you want to control the cable box just push the "cable" button and, then volume etc. to turn your tv off push "tv" then "off" the service man was right but he should have explained this to you
also your cable remote may be programable to work with your tv like a universal remote check with your cable co.
HD TVs do have different cables, I went to Time Warner and swapped my regular box for an HD box, the cable ends are blue red and white, I believe. Also in order for my box to work on the screen I have to switch to "Component" instead of "TV". Hope I helped!
If you don't have a code you can do these steps to get your universal remote working with pretty much any tv:
1.) Turn your TV on. Then on your remote press the set button, it's the small gray button above the green button that says TV.
2.) Press the TV button. There should be a red light to the right of the SET button. This means that your remote is ready for the TV code.
3.) To find the TV code, press the + or - on your remote. This is located above the orange buttons. Once the volume on your TV goes up or down, stop pressing the + or - button.
4.) Then press the SET button again to set that code for your TV.
If the above steps do not work, keep trying. It will work! ;)
The replacement remote does not have a button named TV. The on/off button is red. Then the are several others to chose from that are black and white. I don't know which one to push. I already made sure all of the code's worked.
