6th gen. nano has shuffle issues. plays same song over and over

The iPod's shuffle feature lets you randomize playback of albums, songs or even your entire music library. You may also find this feature useful if you want to listen to forgotten tracks in your library or discover songs you haven't listened to yet. Disabling the shuffle feature will return playback of a song list to its standard consecutive order. You can enable and disable the shuffle feature at any time.

Navigate to the main menu. Select "Settings." Scroll to the "Shuffle" option. Select "Songs" or "Albums." If you select "Songs," the iPod Classic will shuffle the songs on whatever song list you listen to. If you select "Albums," the iPod Classic will play all songs of an album you select in order and then randomly select another album. Navigate to the playlist or album to which you want to listen. Play a song to initiate the shuffle. b> iPod Nano and iPod Touch Tap the "Songs" icon on your nano home screen. If you are using an iPod Touch, open the "iPod" application. Navigate to the song list, playlist or album you want to play. Tap the "Shuffle" icon at the top of the list to activate the feature.

I select a song and it plays but the screen flips between the album cover/now playing to the songs list that are on album i would like this to stop. it also presses songs and apps without me pressing them...

You will have to reset your display settings to your desired need either to the list or to the media player format or the song cover. select the menu, screen settings for screen saver must be delected and saved. This should solve your issue. Hope this helps you out. do it with patience. good day

Cover Art and iPod not agreeing with each other!

Hi there,
the problem comes from the tags attached to your media files.
You must tag your files with the appropriate cover art for them to appear correctly. There is an application available for free that can do this for you:
http://www.mp3tag.de/en/download.html

Once you have installed it, run the program.
In the program, click File/Change Directory
Select the folder in which you've got your music files and it will open the folder up for analysis.
Preferably, you should group your songs by album to make the process easier for you.
You select the songs from the list( for multiple songs, hold Ctrl while selecting) and then click on Tag Sources/Amazon.com or any other present website and use the search engine to find the appropriate album for the songs. Note that you can not search for multiple albums at the same time. Tags can be done per album.
Hope this helps,
Regards

Playing music on my ipod classic

I'm pretty sure you can't do this. At least, I haven't figured out how.

One thing you can do is make a playlist in itunes and drag several albums into it. Then your ipod can play the whole playlist. But this requires some forethought, since you have to set up the playlist on your computer.

Another thing you can do is create an on-the-go playlist right on your ipod. Here's how:

1. from the main menu, click music, then albums
2. scroll to the first album you want in your playlist
3. press and hold the center button until the highlight blinks. don't go into the album; you're pressing and holding on the name of the album
4. scroll to the next album you want in the playlist
5. repeat step 3 until you've got all the albums in your playlist that you want

Now, go to the main menu and press music, then playlists. Scroll all the way to the bottom and notice that you have a new playlist called on-the-go. If you go into it, you'll see that it has all the songs from all the albums you selected.

If you scroll past all the songs, you also have options to clear or permanently save the playlist.

Now you can play all those albums by selecting the playlist.

Again, it requires some setup, but it does enable you to play multiple albums without interruption. A nice side-effect of this method is that you can choose the order, whereas an automatic next album feature would play them in alphabetical order.

(FYI, you can add individual songs to an on-the-go playlist as well.)

And one final option: If you go to Music - albums - ALL, you can press play and it'll play your entire iPod in order. You can scroll to any song you want to start on, but you can't really scroll to the exact album you want to start on -- unless you know where to find the first song on that album.

I know that all three options are available in the latest iPod software. If something's not working for you, you may need to update your iPod's software through iTunes.

Certain songs on my iPod that I bought with iTunes just will not play when I upload them

Do they play ok in itunes?

Try resetting your ipod by holding down the menu and select (round button in the center) buttons down for at least 10 seconds. You'll see an apple logo flash, that's when you stop pressing the buttons. It will shut off, then back on.
