Hello
The Xbox 360 connects to a TV using either
- COMPONENT (red blue green for video, red and white for audio
- COMPOSITE (yellow for video, red and white for audio)
- HDMI
So, if your TV is on a "Channel", it is not on the correct input to view the Xbox 360.
Check the Xbox and verify which cables it is using to connect to the TV. When you find this, follow the cable to the back of the TV and find the input selection. It should be listed as the type and a number (i.e. HDMI 2, COMPONENT 1).
Have the Xbox on. Use the TV remote and use either the INPUT or the MENU options to change the input to the input that matches the port that the Xbox is connected to.
This should make the Xbox work.
When you are done with the Xbox, use the INPUT or MENU to change back to the tuner to watch TV.

I'm fairly sure that the 2hdw board is the culprit here. The 2hdw pwb is Mitsubishi original p/n# 935c966001 which has since been substituted to p/n#935c966002 and costs roughly $420.00 dollars plus shipping.
It's a common failure in these units, but it's not a difficult repair for a reputable shop..
Another alternative is to have ashop pull that board and send it in to PTS Electronics for rebuild. That might save about $100.00 dollars.
Please don't rate me badly for the bad news.
Good Luck!
Bill

this will need some testing to find out what component has failed and stopped the video processing

Simplest thing would be that your component cables are not HU'd correctly. Having them reversed would do this.

Your component cable is probably switched to the HD setting. You have to switch it back in order to get video when hooked up to a regular TV.
