Moen shower head leak

I have a single handle shower faucet in my cabin. I winterize the cabin each year. Last year the water would leak slightly and then stopped. This year it did the same thing but now has a continuous slow leak that comes from the shower head. The shower is only 3 years old and has been used very little. What could be wrong with it. I leave the valve open over the winter.

Single handle shower controls always have some water trapped inside. It has probably freeze damaged the cartridge

Moen one control shower faucet is leaking hot water

Try replacing the cartridge first. That's your best bit . Next would be the whole valve. Hopefully, it's just the cartridge.

Moen shower/tub faucet

hi... yes that's a very common issue with moen "cartridges" -- it's very simple to fix..... grasp the handle and give it a gentle tug upwards when the water is on... if it retracts again, pull the handle out again and tug again but this time a bit harder. Not sure what causes this on new cartridges but it will fix your issue.

Shower head leaks water when water is turned on

take out the cartridge from the fixture and make sure it has all of the "O" rings and stoppers.
look at the instruction again, make sue you are installing it the right side up. if all that, the shower still leak, then you need to talk to the place you brought the fixture, it may have a defective cartridge.
