My Emerson slimline caller id phone the caller id has stoped working with new batterys and the phones is new.

there are a very small capacitor in the board that produce low battery mesege when it get damage, but you gona need a tech to repair your phone there are another problem in your phone its not a seting problem...good luck

This is a followup to my earlier suggestion. My caller id is working. So, the culprit had to be related to the 9V battery. Just try my earlier solution from 1/20/07. If it works..fine. If not, bye-bye to the phone.

The phone actually has a "OPTIONS MENU" where you can set the date. When the display is showing time and date, press the "DIAL" button first and then while still holding down the "DIAL" button, press the "DEL" button the "Options Menu" will appear after about three seconds of holding down both buttons. Use the "REVIEW" arrow buttons to scroll through the menu and the "DIAL" button to select the options.

If the phone company has got everything in place, it means the driver ic that controls the LCD is defective. Since it is new I recommend taking back for exchange.
