When the power button blinks do you hear the laptop fans run on full speed? If that happens its because your laptop is overheating and is trying to cool down. It will not turn on until it cools down to protect from damage due to heat.

Use your laptop on a hard surface and dont block its vents with anything. If you want to use it on bed keep it on a laptop cooler or a thick book to allow ventilation.

If laptop doesnt turn on at all, the motherboard might be damaged. Take it to repair shop and check whats wrong.

SOURCE: Compaq R3000

r u mention for battery light?if is it true, then the light is blinking because of your laptop want to make sure the power supply charge that battery.if it is in charging condition, the light on.but if the light goes off, that mean, the battery is already full.

But when u use adaptor without battery, the light will goes off because no charging session is in progress which has same behaviour with battery full(during battery full,no charging session occur)

Plantronics ml10

Same problem for me: I start chargering (red light) and when I unplugged It don't power on anymore.

The solution for me was resetting the unit. Follow next steps:

-Start charging the ML10 (a red light will appear)
-Press PowerButton and Volume(-) (a blue/right light will appear for less than a second).
- Voila! It comes to life!

I have a compaq 610 laptop is saying plugged in,not charging.Am using a universal charger

Hello.

The most common reasons for power issues are the battery, power jack and power adapter/cord.
Power off and remove the battery. If the laptop powers on with just the adapter connected, your battery is faulty.

If you move/wiggle the power adapter at the point where it connects to the laptop, and the power goes off and on, the power jack is the problem.

The power jack is inside the laptop and either needs soldering or replacement. If a power jack problem, it should be addressed by someone knowledgeable.

If no change, try another charger.

Hope this helps.

Sir i have compaq 610 model named as delphi/d40. The problems are when light(electricity supply) goes off it also automatically goes off that means it doesn't take back up. please answer why it has...

Sounds like you have a problem with your battery in the laptop. When the power fails, you should have several hours of battery life even 'in the dark'. If this is not the case then you should consider a replacement battery. Here is just one of many sources for replacement batteries:
http://www.battdepot.com/model/compaq/620+notebook+pc/lhp237.aspx
You should also ensure that the charger is working when the power is on. When you go into Windows click on START --> CONTROL PANEL --> POWER SETTINGS. You should see an area where it will tell you if the battery is being charged, is fully charged or is not charging at all. If the power supply isn't working, here is a source to get a replacement for that as well:
http://www.battdepot.com/model/compaq/620+notebook+pc/ac19v90k3.aspx
I hope this response helps you out.
I wish you the very best of luck! If I can help you further, please let me know.
I strive for '4 Thumbs Up'! If I've assisted you, I'd greatly appreciate you taking the time to provide me with a favorable rating. Thanks so much!

¿ tiempo de carga de la bateria en lap top por primera vez?

Hello,
Sorry, espanol no hablo

You must let the battery cargar completemente maybe 4 o 5 horas if you are not using the computer (OFF) , and 12 a 13 horas if computer is ON. Don't leave it charged in the computer while computer is connected to the power socket, unless you also charging the battery.
Before charging it a second time, make sure it is completely drained. Some manufacturers (Toshiba) recommend to cycle the battery (charge, discharge) 2 or 3 times before using it.
Every month you should allow it to be drained.

Hope it helps.
