I've had my Vision Fitness treadmill model T9450HRT for about five years and it's always performed great. It's also always been extremely quiet. Lately, however, it's started making some noise when being used. I believe that the sound is coming from the belt. I do lubricate the belt seasonally with a liguid, as I was told to, and sold, by the store where I purchased it. Any advice would be deeply appreciated! Thanks.
That model is probably at least 10 years old. They are very well made but it is long overdue for a new belt. Belts need to be replaced every 7-9 years depending on a million different factors. Whatever the noise is it's almost certainly due to the belt being old. My guess is that it's a bearing noise in the motor or the rollers. Roller bearings are cheap and easy but motor bearings are much more expensive to fix. You should find a local service person to come figure out the noise and replace the belt at that time.

Use a good silicone Spray under the belt for every 10 hours of use

Tunturi.com or accellfitnessna.com should have the lubricant you need. Order it online and they should be able to ship it directly to your house. I service tunturi treadmills, although I haven't come across a teflon lubricated machine, it is very important with these machines you stick with the manufacturer specified lubricants.

first thing to do is to enter the calibration mode. First remove and replace the safety key. Press and hold the elevation up and the speed down buttons until the machines beeps at you 3 times consecutively. You should also see either the model "9450" or the software code which varies from machine to machine. You should now see one of two things - "eng1" may be displayed in which case just use the elevation keys to get to "eng4" and hold enter for 3 seconds - then press start - this will calibrate your machine and confirm if there is any speed reading issues.
If your machine displays more numbers as it would on the deluxe and premier consoles of this brand then you should see the model of your treadmill at the top left. hold enter from here until "eng1" appears and the perform the steps as above. If the speed is not calculating properly during the calibration the magnet or the speed sensor may have been moved or the magnet could have gone bad - usually slowing to one speed and not changing is the sign of a bad speed sensor. If the control board had any irregular voltage it would shut down as a safety precaution.
