Vision Fitness Treadmill belt started making noise

I've had my Vision Fitness treadmill model T9450HRT for about five years and it's always performed great.   It's also always been extremely quiet.  Lately, however, it's started making some noise when being used.  I believe that the sound is coming from the belt.  I do lubricate the belt seasonally with a liguid, as I was told  to, and sold, by the store where I purchased it. Any advice would be deeply appreciated! Thanks.

That model is probably at least 10 years old. They are very well made but it is long overdue for a new belt. Belts need to be replaced every 7-9 years depending on a million different factors. Whatever the noise is it's almost certainly due to the belt being old. My guess is that it's a bearing noise in the motor or the rollers. Roller bearings are cheap and easy but motor bearings are much more expensive to fix. You should find a local service person to come figure out the noise and replace the belt at that time.

SOURCE: Where can I purchase a teflon spray lubricant for treadmill?

Tunturi.com or accellfitnessna.com should have the lubricant you need. Order it online and they should be able to ship it directly to your house. I service tunturi treadmills, although I haven't come across a teflon lubricated machine, it is very important with these machines you stick with the manufacturer specified lubricants.

SOURCE: I have a vision fitness T9450 treadmill. My wife

first thing to do is to enter the calibration mode. First remove and replace the safety key. Press and hold the elevation up and the speed down buttons until the machines beeps at you 3 times consecutively. You should also see either the model "9450" or the software code which varies from machine to machine. You should now see one of two things - "eng1" may be displayed in which case just use the elevation keys to get to "eng4" and hold enter for 3 seconds - then press start - this will calibrate your machine and confirm if there is any speed reading issues.

If your machine displays more numbers as it would on the deluxe and premier consoles of this brand then you should see the model of your treadmill at the top left. hold enter from here until "eng1" appears and the perform the steps as above. If the speed is not calculating properly during the calibration the magnet or the speed sensor may have been moved or the magnet could have gone bad - usually slowing to one speed and not changing is the sign of a bad speed sensor. If the control board had any irregular voltage it would shut down as a safety precaution.

How to calibrate a Vision Fitness Treadmill - Residential Models

If you are not quite sure about the speed/elevation of your machine you can perform the following to test/correct your Vision Fitness treadmill.

1. Remove safety key and then replace
2. Hold the elevation up and speed down buttons until it beeps 3 times
3. If you see the model of your treadmill on this screen make sure you hold enter and then you will see "eng1"
4. Use the elevation buttons to scroll to "eng4" and hold enter to select
5. you should see the word "auto" on the screen at this point
6. Making sure you are not on the treadmill at all, press start.

The treadmill will go through a few tests to determine the maximum and minimum of both speed/elevation. You can see the results on the display as it is performing this test and if there are any discrepancies the machine will adjust the settings to make the appropriate speed/elevation calibration.

If the test passes it will display "end" and from here just remove and replace the safety key. You should notice a difference in the speed right away.

My Vision Fitness T9250 treadmill. Can hear a low noise when no one is on it but gets much louder when anyone is on it and operating...any ideas where to start looking for repairs?

Try to open and separate the motor carefully from treadmill chasis, turn the motor shaft with hand if it not easily turn or you hear a unsual sound try to open the motor and add a lubricant to motor bearing, and turn the motor on if its still noise replace all the bearings with new one

Use your multi meter check continuity on motor leads if you get about 1 to 1.5 ohms if not leads may have open. You may also need to do calibration if the above check a ok.

After storage treadmill belt wont' turn

Hello. A year without use often causes the belt to adhere to the front and rear drum. Pry the belt loose and toss some talcum powder in there to get it going again. Joe
