Remote wont change input - Sanyo DS27800 27" TV

Try unplugging the TV from the power source for several seconds. Also, pour new batteries in your remote.

Have you find out if the problem is with your remote control? For instance, you are able to control your TV using a Universal remote control. My 32" Vizio TV had a similar problem, initially thought it was related to my remote control but in fact the TV didn't respond either to an universal remote control of my SAT receiver that I eventually use to just turn on and off the TV. I've found out that the problem was with a little board on the TV located at the left down corner viewed from the front side of the TV and that receives the signal from the remote control. I found the board on ebay for about $5, replace it and the TV responded again to both original and universal remotes.

1) test the batteries for dead
2) clean the contacts batteries
3)tight the springs contacts batteries with long pliers for better contacts
4) open the remote control clean the KEYPADS for dirty, oxide, corrosion and fix itl
5) try it
6) if doesnot work,you must go to the repair shop TV for fix it.

Not all remotes will program for all sets or if do will be missing certain key features the original remote had.

Some sets wont respond to all functions with a universal remote contro. Try to set the remote control to TV with and other code. sometimes it may help you.

To program the remote to your Viore T.V you can try code 738. What you would need to do is press and hold the clear T.V button located on the upper left hand corner of your remote (you will see all the other top buttons light up) then you will let go of the T.V button and enter the number 738 followed by the pound (#) key, notice you will see the clear T.V button flash 3 times. After this you can try the volume function and turning on and off your T.V. If it works you can try changing inputs on the T.V by pressing the T.V/Video button or Input button on the remote. You have to have the remote to change inputs on this set. Probably a universal remote will work good.
