RCA 27V412T my tv started turning itself on and changing the channels by itself

Can you see a picture at all or is it completely bright red? Is there sound?

Sounds like your Startup Relay is intermittent. Contacts are closing (tv on) then dropping out (tv off). Worn or burned contacts do not make a good connection when they close and start to burn and overheat causing the contacts to open. When they cool down they may make contact again for a very short period. You need to replace the Start up relay. I hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa!

Main system control memory IC fault. This is a very small IC; have 8 solder terminals, and can be located very near to the main system control-chroma IC. Check and replace it. Be sure to replace it with the same number printed on it; in all respect. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. check your tv's power cable inside the tv. make sure its not frayed. also take the batteries out the remote, it could be turning off the tv.

the problem is there is engaged button there..only technician can do the job by replacing the button that is always engage.

I repair these for a living and usually this is caused by the "tact switches" (buttons essentially) on the main pcb. This can be fixed easily by someone who is familiar with working with soldering small parts by changing the switches. The problem is most service shops must charge $60-$100 for bench time on a repair like this which is hard to spend with the replacement cost being so low on this product.

Just change all the buttom (switches) including: volume, channal, power, and menu buttom. That is the only problem

well my tv was doing the same thing my prob was the buton bord.the ezyest way to check it was to take the back off and find the wires that come from the boton bord the plug the tv in and turn the tv on wile its on unplug the boton bord wires if the tv stays on that is probly your prob the bord dont cost much I found a site on here that has them for under $5.remember to be carefull when checking it out tv car be very dangerus.I found that if I beat on my buton bord alittel it would work for awile hope this helps
