To shiva can be called and for a small fee the disc can be sent out.. If the hard drive failed they could send you out a new hard drive with the factory image.

How to clean instal on Toshiba Satellite A25-S3072

Hello,

You need to have the operating system's disc so that you can do a clean install. Insert the disc and boot from the cd by restarting and pressing any key when it tells you to do so.

Format the C drive and install the new operating system there. Make sure that before you do this, you have backed up all your important files.

I put the toshiba disk recovery and application cd yesturday. And for some reason it only displayed BOOTMGT is mising ptess ctrl+alt+del to restart .it only dose that i tried pressing f12 and it dosent...

Hi,
This means that the Hard Drive no longer takes any information at all. Since you have the Recovery Disc for your computer, consider replacing the HDD. and install the Recovery disc. Tapping F12 after you pressed the power button to turn the computer on is actually a very god step that you tried, this will lead you to the Advanced Boot Manager where you need to select CD/DVD/ODD to where you will boot so you can install the Operating System using the recovery disc.
However, it seems we are having an issue with the HDD itself and so it needs to be replaced.

My toshiba satellite pro/ 415cs laptop wont start up / says it needs a setup disk

Hi,

If you are using the OEM operating system from Toshiba, use the disc which came with the laptop. But if you are using a retail operating system from Microsoft, use operating system setup disc.

You can attempt to use the appropriate disc to repair corrupted files. Take note that some Operating system files are unrepairable which leads you to installing the whole operating system.

Hope this helps.

I need to restart my laptop to factory settings

if you want it to be factory settings, you would need the exact same Operatin Sytem installation disk which they probably didnt give you. The reason i say the same is because your serial numbers wont match as your original OS. Anyways if you only doing it to sell the laptop or two have a fresh Operating system, i would recomend you !1) Get a copy os Windows XP
2) Backup all your important files
3) Format your laptop and reinstall XP
4) Restore your files
5) Download (If you dont have it already) your drivers for your laptop. This can be found on Toshibas website.
6) Install all drivers and thats it. You have a Factory Set Laptop

I need to factory reset my Toshiba Portege 2000. I do not have the disc.

This is hard without the recovery disc. You can either:
  1. Order the recovery disc directly from Toshiba
  2. Buy the disc on eBay
  3. Try to find an ISO download and burn the disc
  4. Install another operating system (such as Linux or XP) and get the drivers
The most reliable way would be via Toshiba.

Toshiba M45-S351

Generally a bad hard drive, but it could also be an operating system error/glitch. Do a system repair with your recovery or operating system disc. If the repair doesn't take, then reformat the drive and install a new operating system. If you have any issues during or after the format and install, then the hard drive has failed and will need replaced.

Dll error

This is an operating system error. You will need to run a system repair or reload with your recovery or operating system disc. Start with a repair, if the repair doesn't fix it, then reformat and reinstall the operating system. If you have any issues or problems during the format or reload, then your hard drive has failed and will need to be replaced.

How do i reboot the toshiba te 2000 if i don't have a disc

You can try to boot your toshiba te 2000 up under safe mode. To do this, you start your computer, keep pressing F8 right away, if you keep pressing you should get a startup options, and select safe mode, then it will ask you which operating system (if you have it double partitioned) otherwise it should boot up under the safe mode, otherwise you will have to have the disc.

Hope this helps.
