I am trying to install wnce2001 without WPS and cannot get passed step 3. The browser does not open a setup page.

Sometimes the setup wizard flow stops when you run through setup wizard over IE6 and IE7. It won't happen on other browser, because it is a Microsoft browser bug.

Workaround: Click "Refresh" of browser to re-run the setup wizard again or use other non-IE browser to run through setup wizard.

My 2wire product seems to need resetting every few minutes. As soon as it's unplugged and plugged back in, it works. However, after a few minutes, it loses connection again. Is this an issue with my ISP,...

  • Re-run the Setup Wizard using one of the following methods if you are unable to browse the Internet:

  • Re-run the HomePortal Setup Wizard from the HomePortal CD.

  • Re-run the HomePortal Setup Wizard by going to http://homeportal/setup (http://172.16.0.1/setup) in your Web browser.

  • (For Windows only.) Re-run the HomePortal Setup Wizard by clicking Start > Programs > 2Wire Gateway > Run 2Wire Setup Wizard.

If required, make sure that you are using your unique username and password. If the problem persists, contact your ISP to verify your connection type and login information (if necessary). After verifying your connection type, also verify that you are using the correct keycode by referring to your HomePortal documentation or by visiting http://www.2Wire.com/keycode.
