What sideof a filter goes nearest to the motor in a cylinder vacuum cleaner, foam or sponge?

Finest filter media. Coarser media towards bag. Possibly fits better in only one position. Check seal around edges of filter when installed.

Front won't stay down on carpet.

Something is keeping the head from rotating freely. You will have to inspect all the parts closely to determine what is causing it to bind. It may be a part dislocated or have some debris somewhere.

Hard floor brush constanly falls off when cleaning, where can i find a different kind to fit kenmore progressive canisster vac

There is an aftermarket spring button that can be installed to prevent this. It snaps inside the wand and the button extends out the two matched holes drilled in the brush and wand.

Do I need to bench bleed my new master cylinder? I have installed a new master cylinder and put new brake fluid in it and replaced some of the brake lines. I'm using one of the Vacula vacuum pump blee

I be leave the bench bleed is standard protocol but if it is already installed you may need to power bleed it. this is easier in a shop unless you have the tools.

Dyson dc05 power head not working. Fitted new hose and power head

please go to http://www.dyson.com/support/help.asp?article=32&product=DC22-MOTORHEAD-US
please select the model exactly, and proceed with common sense for troubleshooting problem and fix it.
You must shure to see the videos, and see if the parts installed is o.k or are not. You must test the belt is broken, worn, or bad installed. test the motor for brush, bearing and lubrication, and finllay the thermal fuse inside or thermal switch.
God bless you

Question re hose and head

Hi There,
Ok so the hose definitely cannot be interchanged, all the dysons have a different (slightly) fitting where the hose clips to the vacuum. The head I think can be fitted from a DC19. To be sure I would buy the correct one for your model. Dyson have a bad habit of using different fittings for different models to force you into buying the proper dyson one. With the DC05 and earlier you could adapt heads from normal vacuums but they stopped it from dc08 on.

Seat belt light comes on at times on my wh holden statesman

Holy cow are you F-ED! Someone installed airbags and seat belts on your vacuum??? WOW! That must be one hell of a great machine and fast? Where did you buy it? I hope it wasn't too expensive if you are having problems with it. Please post a picture of it...I think it would be neat to see a vacuum with those kind of attachments!
