Water container leaking on Saeco Magic coffee machine

Hi there,

I have the Saeco Magic Deluxe and occasionally I find a pool of water underneath the machine. I have isolated this back to the water container I think isn't sitting correctly on the machine creating a perfect seal.

I have tried aligning the o-ring seal and all the other bits and pieces but eventually it will leak.

I read on a Saeco forum online that sometimes with the lid closed on the water container this creates increased pressure inside the tank and the solution is to leave the lid slightly ajar (or drill a small hole into the lid). I just wanted to know your thoughts on this, also, if need be, whereabouts in Australia I would be able to get a new o-ring, piston, and valve for my machine.

Looking on the net I can't seem to find an Australian agent.

Hi
There is a donut like cap under the water tank on top of the machine. Pry on the outside of this cap an pop it off. Under the cap is a black seal. If you stick your finger in it and just pull out and the seal comes with it, you need to replace the seal. The new seal will not slip in you have to run your fingernail around the outside and silp the seal in. It should not just slide in. Make sure that the receptacle is clean before putting the new seal in.

Hi
When the machine is done brewing some water is relieved into the drip tray. This is the pressure relief. Some coffee residue is also taken into the drip tray. This is normal. As long as nothing is under the machine your OK.

If all the lights are blinking in a row then you have a Main electronic board problem. Most common issue is that boiler has leaked water on board and caused it to fail.

How do you connect saeco magic deluxe directly to water source?

I have only seen one Saeco that you can use a direct water supply with, the Royal Coffee Bar. I have seen people use a fish tank level control to jery rig a water supply.

Saeco magic deluxe is leaking water

Either two faults, one is that the boiler is leaking ( fix this straight away as water can spray on main circuit board and short out ) very costly to repair if both needs replacing. Second the water runoff to the front tray is blocked with coffee grime . Instead of the water left over when the brewer dissengages running off to the front tray it overflows into the machine. Hope this helps
