Hi Jim - did you ever find a solution to the red flashing light on the circuit board of your wc200gs wine cooler? I have the same light and my unit won't cool. I had a technician come out and he wasn't able to repair it. Is the red light flashing if so count the #of flashes it shows consecutively.then Google that #of flashes on that model you will get your answers. If just solid red you may have an issue in the board or compressor
It probably has a circuit breaker located on the bottom of the fridge, behind the front filter. Also try looking inside the refridgerator side at the top. It may be red colored to indicate it is safety-related. Just push it in - but don't be surprised if it trips again.
WARNING: RESET ONLY ONCE TO AVOID A FIRE OR ELECTROCUTION SITUATION.
You may have an internal problem, in which case the freezer's circuit breaker is your best friend!
Note that the self-defrosting freezers have a timer that shuts them off periodically so they can defrost. Sometimes the timer does the defrosting in the middle of the day, giving the appearance of a failure. This could be your problem.
the defrost timer may need reseting. when the defrost is on, it cuts power to the compressor so they don't run at the same time. it's usually behind the bottom front grate on the right side. also check the main circuit board. there's a fuse on it.
Is this just a "Power-on" light to let you know it's plugged in and has power? This is probably just a "neon" (although the actual gas inside is hydrogen for the green color) bulb and sometimes they will do the flickering thing literally forever. In a way it's a good thing as it makes you look at it. If it really concerns you, or if it is actually a warning that something is going wrong (it should say in the manual, you DO have the manual don't you?) have it fixed under the warranty.
the flashing red light indicates a cooling problem, you should call honest local appliance repair shop(not sears they rob you blind)one other thing to try is to unplug for 5 minutes then plug back in and see if it reset sets itself, could be just a board reset issue, let me know-mike
