The manual is here:
http://www.jetway.com.tw/jw/download_address.asp?downid=4269&proname=I31GM4&downtype=Manual-English&isbios=0

Normally you either remove or place a jumper on a pair of pins, wait 10 seconds and put the jumper back.

The keyboard works outside of the windows 7 environment but once it turns on the keyboard and mouse dont work

Have you tried a different keyboard and mouse?, your keyboard and mouse on a different pc?
Is it usb? ps2 wireless?
Only the wireless option would need a driver
Usb will work if they are ok
ps2 may need settings changed in the bios to make it work.

PS2 KEYBOARD & MOUSE Not responding.

Try connecting one at a time, if you connect the mouse don't connect the keyboard, and if you connect the keyboard, don't connect the mouse, reboot each time and check which one is the culprit. One of the port or device must be creating the problem. Good luck.

Hello, i currently use a IBM desktop with IBM keyboard and mouse but i just bought a microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse which i just installed into my desktop using the installation CD. They are both...

Hi Tony,
It appears that you have an IBM desktop whose BIOS isn't capable of booting off of a USB keyboard and mouse device. Older computers used to require that a PS2 mouse and keyboard be attached before booting, to prevent you from booting a machine without any way of controlling it. You have 3 options:

1. leave the corded mouse and keyboard attached and never use them
2. update the BIOS for your desktop to the newest one in hopes that the updated BIOS will allow for USB mouse and keyboard operation
3. go to a computer store and get a PS2 to USB converter/adapter. They're small and relatively inexpensive. It plugs into the PS2 port, and makes your computer think that there's a PS2 device connected, when it's actually a USB device.

Ps2 keyboard and mouse don't work. usb works fine

Assuming you have checked in setup that the PS2 is turned on the other option is to re-flash the bios .
At some time someone switched the mouse and keyboard and started up the computer this can cause you to need to re-flash the bios most likely the keyboard chip needs to be replaced sorry to bring bad news .
Dell seems to have this problem yet the USB works is good where most modern keyboards and mouse are USB.
Purple is Keyboard if not color coded the closest to the outer side of case is the keyboard.
Good luck hope this helps you
PS. You may try setting the jumper pins to default the main board back to factory defaults then remove the jumper pin and leave off for first boot .When doing this be aware not to have the power cables connected to the server remove all power cords and the monitor . Prior to doing the first power up plug in the PS2 keyboard only then the monitor. Cross you fingers If you lucky your PS2 port’s will be working again if so shut down re install the jumper pin install the PS2 mouse.

My keyboard works fine in BIOS but at login screen keyboard and mouse don't work. I tried SAFE MODE, same thing. Default BIOS same thing. PS2 or USB don't work but both work in BIOS. HELP

Hello,

You may need to update/reinstall the drivers for your keyboard/mouse. If you able to get online, that would be faster. If not, use a) your restore disk, b) Press update drives in the Control Panel>Keyboard/Mouse.

Good Luck

Keyboard and mouse ps2 usb not working

hi, only advice I have is to try different keyboard, the most basic keyboard you can find - looks like the OS is not picking up the drivers for your input devices - usually if you have an old keyboard it seems to work!

Bios does not find PS2 keyboard/mouse

Did you go into the BIOS and set it to recognize the USB Keyboard after you reset the BIOS? Is windows not noticing it or the BIOS. You stated that it recognized the USB keyboard and then said that it did not.
What does all of this mean? USB keyboard does not activate "del" setup.

If it does not work, it is because you reset the BIOS and did not change the settings back for the USB keyboard.

I hope that I fixed your problem.
