The issue you are experiencing may happen if the Display Drivers of the Notebook are corrupted.
I recommend you to try downloading the latest Display Drivers for your Notebook installed with AMD Processor which are available through the link bbelow :
NVidia VGA Drivers for Windows Vista :
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp35501-36000/sp35686.exe

NVidia VGA Drivers for Windows XP :

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp33501-34000/sp33537.exe

Best way is to copy the entire link and paste it in the address bar of a new Internet Explorer window and press Enter to start download.
A window will appear with options like Save, Run and Cancel.
Click on Save and select a common location like the Desktop or My Documents.
Now, once the file is saved, double click on the file to start the installation of the drivers.
This should solve the issue.

Crtl + Alt Then UpARROW is supposed to return you to normal. It is actually all in the Video.

Use Right hand Ctrl + Arrow keys to get the screen upright.

There must be a key called "fn" in your keyboard. Hold on it and press the square indicated key in the f-keys at the top. You have shrunk the screen size. This must reset it.
