Interactive r2 d2 gets stuck

When not being played with r2 d2 tries to go backwards all the time, and he tends to get stuck, as if his gears are blocked.

There could be something blocking the drive gears to the treaded wheels making making the robot go backwards.

    I have the same problem and buy it today! There may be another reason to lock??

R2 won't move forward on command

On the front of the droid there is a red button that lights up when turned on & turns off after a couple of seconds, depress that button to free up the droid. Its called the wheel lock control button. That should free up your R2
