Go to Control panel > Add Remove programs (locate the audio driver installation) > click Uninstall (Remove).
The presently installed audio driver will be removed from the system.
Reboot the System
Right-Click 'My Computer' icon.
Click 'Properties'.
Click 'Device Manager'
Click on 'Sound and Game controllers'
Right click 'Audio device'
Select 'Update Driver'
That's all. The audio driver will be re-installed. If you have the Driver CD of the audio card, just put it into CD driver, before doing this. If you have internet connection, connect it too. If so, the system will audo-search for the audio device, and will install it automatically either from the O/S, CD Rom or by internet. [
Before doing all of this, connect the system to internet, Insert the Audio Driver CD in the CD Rom (if you have it]
