Sony Camcorder - charger/battery issue

Hi, I have a Sony Camcorder - DVR-HC32. When I switch it on, I get the following error message: "use the InfoLithium Battery pack". I thought it was a battery issue and bought another one from the Sony store, but I get the same problem. I think it's to do with the charger, since I get a blinking light when connected to the power source through the AC adapter. The light's supposed to be on continuously if the battery's charging properly. Any ideas? Thanks.

go the same problem... got two batteries, one charged with light on constantly, but the other one which is newer and stronger just shows light flashing and doesnt charge. The camera works well with the other battery or cable. Does this mean that my battery is bad, or a bad connection?

I have a similar issue, any one knows the solution

I have the same issue with a Sony Handycam. Basically, when I charge the battery in question, the charging light indicator is blinking. Normally, the light should be steady.

When I plugged another battery, the battery charges fine, with the light indicator steady and not blinking. Because of this, I think the cause of this problem is the battery.

So how can I fix my battery that is not charging?

I have this same problem. Not sure if it is because I ignored warning of battery dieing. Will try a new battery I guess.

SONY HC32 - LCD panel not working when pressing icons. Also, when it does work, the incorrect functions appear for the menu selected

I had similar trouble on my 2nd hand HC32 - turned out to be faulty flex cable that runs between LCD and the main body.

Cost me around 60 USD to fix by non-SONY service shop. Now it works like new.Worth every dime for this outdated camcorder.

Sony Handycam Vision ccd-trv308

Take the battery out and turn selection switch to camera and then turn it off. Put the battery back in and its working again.
if that doesn't work try
Try smacking the side of the camera relatively hard with the palm of your hand. Eject the tape and reinsert. You may need to do this a couple of times.
