Turn off on screen message

I have a Dell 4310WX projector. I changed the bulb and got an on-screen message saying: Please use an original lamp to ensure safe and optimal working of your projector. I then purchased a Dell OE bulb and the message still displays. I have to clear the message every time I turn on the projector. How do I permanently turn off this message?

Follow this steps and fix it. God bless you

  • Secure the lamp cover and the air filter cover of the projector body if the projector does not power on. Ensure that the power cable is firmly connected to the projector and an active power plug. If the projector was turned off and then on quickly--let it sit for 90 seconds before trying to turn it on.

  • 2
Replace the projection lamp if the projector will not power on or if the lamp indicator is flashing. Turn off the projector and let it sit for at least 30 minutes. Locate the lamp cover and remove or loosen the lamp cover with a screwdriver. Carefully remove the projection lamp from the projector housing using the handle, if available.

  • 3
Place the new projection lamp into the projector housing and secure it to the projector. Replace the lamp cover and reset the lamp timer. Power on the projector to ensure the new lamp is working correctly.

  • 4
Remove the projector from the enclosed area to allow air circulation if it constantly overheats. Place the projector into an open area and make sure there is no blockage for the ventilation holes. Unplug the projector for at least 45 minutes to allow it to soft reset.

  • 5
Clean the air filter to allow the projector better air circulation. Turn off the projector and unplug it from the outlet. Remove the air filter cover and use a vacuum to remove dust from the area. If the filter is unable to be cleaned correctly or is damaged, then replace it. Pull the air filter from the projector and place the new one in the now empty slot. Close and secure the air filter cover.

This solution did not fix my problem. It did not even address my problem. The projector works, I just have to turn off the on-screen message every time I turn it on.

SOURCE: problem with my dell 1200mp projector

This is a very common problem with these projectors. The fans lock up and the units are out of warrenty. The fan you replace it with must be the exact same as the old one, even though it is the same as a 5$ computer fan. The processor will detect the non-dell fan and shutdown in the same way. I Havent been able to find any replacement fans that will work. I may be interested in buying your broken projector from you if you give up.

Email me at: nalexandrov251[A-T]gmail.com and we might be abe to work something out.

My in1 projecter keeps turning itself off

if the lamp has 2000 hors on it, it needs replacing. go into the menu and find out how many lamp hours are used. it could be the lamp and it could be the ballast.

Dell 2300mp projector

I have this same projector and am pushing 4500hr on my current bulb. its starting to get a little dim being that the bulb is only rated for 2000hrs. There are brightness setting is the setup of the projector. There are also 4 display modes. game and PC being the brightest. You can change those with the remote. These are the only factors that should effect the brightness. I would say that you might have gotten a bad bulb. try putting the bulb from the "bright" projector into the "new" one and see if that makes a diffrence. also im looking for parts and bulbs for this model projector. If you would like to get rid of anything please let me know. Hope this helps and good luck.
