Lost remote control. can't change language

Hi,
I can't adjust the volume of my F800 series Hitachi TV and everytime I press the menu button, an Indian language always appear on the screen. I can't even access the menu because I lost the remote control and the buttons on the TV seems not working. How can I fix this?

It is always more difficult to operate the menu features of a tv using the manual buttons on the tv. I recommend you unplug the ac cord of the tv from the wall for a day while you go out and buy a universal remote control. After plugging the tv back in and turning it on initially most television on screen prompts immediately direct you to the set up menu which includes setting the language.

Follow the instructions on the universal remote and program the remote to the tv using the power button on the remote to determine if you have reached the right code. It will then be possible to operate the menu features of the tv via the remote control and thus change the language back to english.

I'd unplug/disconnect the Roku and after 30 seconds try the control button on the back. If you can change the input do so, then plug the Roku back in. Until you use the input button on the back to change input to Roku, you should be able to use the other buttons on the back to control the TV. If this does not work, unplug both the TV and the Roku. Have an Hitachi 60sx12b. the sound meter bar stays on. can manually adjust the sound up but will go back down to 0. tv remote or sat. remote doesn't work at all. Please help

Hi,
It sounds either volume down button is bad that turns volume down on its own or system control chip got defective and decreasing volume level.
Press volume down button on tv front and check is it working properly.

Orion TVD2710. Lost remote, can't change signal input

I would suggest you try to find a universal remote that has an "input" or "source" button and program that one to your tv. By pressing the "source" or "input" button, it will change the input to the tv. I hope this helps! -Der Strom

Tv is stuck on aux

Push the "menu"button on the front of the unit. That will get you into the menus to adjust any setting, like caption, language (but that one is tricky if yours happenend to be set to a language you couldn't understand :P), brightness settings and the such are there too. The one you are looking for is "input", change THAT setting. with either volume up/down +/-, or channel up/down (+) (-). In the menu, change the "input" selection to cable or whatever you are trying to watch on the tv.

Hi the codes for hitachi are 0074,0082,0081,0511,0201,0616,0234,0236,0255,0232,0554,0110,0537,0075,0594,0147,0216,0143,0550,0518 turn on tv, 1.press tv button on the remote 2. press setup button until it flashes twice enter code then turn off by power button (keep repeating 1-3 until tv goes off) hope this helps.

Menu Language

According to Hitachi themselves, there is no such set with model number C29-F100. The closest one they have on file is the C29-F800. Perhaps your set is an over-seas set, originally sold in Japan? The original remote has a MENU button surrounded by 4 "arrow" buttons - arrow up, down, left and right. For the C29-F800, using the original remote, press the MENU button 4 times or the SETUP button once. There should be 4 choices on that page and the first one, the one on top, is LANGUAGE. Highlight the first one using the "arrow down" (also labeled P-) button and select the language ENGLISH using the left or right arrow buttons. Exit the menu by pressing MENU 3 more times or SETUP once. I believe I can download the owner's manual for the C29-F800 and send it to you if you need it.
