Hi, If I turn my 2010 GMC Terrain on , the heat hurts, if I have to make a stop, the heat stops working (only cool air), then I have to turn off the car, take out the key and restart car to have the heat back on. There is also a knocking sound in the front of the car. Can anyone help?

The heat shouldn't have anything to do with your car turning off and on. If there is a knocking while the heat is on then you probably have a heater motor going out in you.

Testimonial: "Thank you Kyle. I just find it odd that if I turn the car off after only getting cold air, it's instant heat when I turn it back on again. Can it be a glitch in the car's computer?"

DTC C0545 00: Steering Wheel Torque Input Sensor

You need service repair info. for diagnostic testing for code co545.

Heat stop working on 2010 GMC Terrain.I changed the Thermostat it worked for couple of days than it stop working than I saw it needed more antifreeze because it was low.

you have a air lock...Start the car with the radiator cap off. One of the easiest ways to bleed your car's radiator is to simply remove the radiator cap and then start your engine. Leave the vehicle running until it reaches its normal operating temperature. It may take between 15 or 20 minutes before your car generates enough heat to push out the air that has been trapped in your car's cooling system. You may find that you need to add additional coolant, as air pockets can artificially inflate coolant levels.
hope this helps

GMC 2010 Terrain grease fittings

There are no grease fittings on the 2010 GMC Terrain.
The only items you can apply a thin film of white spray lithium grease are the door, hood and rear hatch hinges.

My 2010 GMC terrain is making a knocking noise when air conditioner is on. Had the timing chain replaced but dealer now says it is activator that needs replaced for additional $600. Is this possible?

It's POSSIBLE, although it may or may not be true. Is this a continuous knocking noise with the AC running, or does it just knock a few times, then stop? If it's continuous, does it change in speed with the engine speed?

At any rate, that vehicle SHOULD still be under warranty; the dealer should be taking care of all of that for no charge.

Hear whining sound only when heater is on.

Is it the heater fan making the noise? Some can be lubricated, others have to be replaced. I hope this is helpful.

Cruise control stopped working on 2010 gmc terrain is there a fuse for this or do I have to take it to dealer

It has a fuse, but may not be listed on the fuse panel. Your owners manual should have a complete list of every component on each fuse circut.
