Hi! I hope someone can help me out on this one as it's really stressing me out.
I've got a Haier wine cooler (JC-110GD, 110L) at home which produces a loud, intermittent noise every 27mins or so.
If I were to describe the origin of the noise, it's from the bottom and it's like a "motor" noise - similar to that of a normal refrigerator, but much, much louder.
If it wasn't so loud, I would just bear with it but it's probably 3 times as loud as my refridgerator!
Is it time to service it or get a new one? It was manufactured in the last quarter of 2006.
If servicing is recommended, is it something I could do? I just want to put a halt to this menacing sound.
Many thanks!! =)
Turn the unit around so you can hear the compressor (large black small basketball size unit lower left) if the sound is coming from that then it is probably lost lubrication or just failing. "These usually last forever but.... they do fail. I am not sure if this one (loke mine) has a samll fan. Clarify the noise for use and we can tell you what it is. a constant tapp tap tap fast paced is the compressor going out or out of lub etc. . A ting ting ting may be a fan... Robert-Aptos
