do you have a hdmi cable connected to the tv?

what are you using for a dvd player?

It's usually the button that says input. Not menu.

change the dvd format and burn on new dvd

Unfortunately you will not be able to switch input.
I also have a Sharp, I have tried 5 different universal remotes. None will switch input. I guess that function is not provided properly.

hi, i bought eonon E1012 on Eonon official, i also changed the wire so as to watch car DVD, but everything turn out to be fine.
I think maybe you have connect the wrong wire and have bum out the built in amp.

You need to have your parking brake engaged to watch dvds.

I own a One-for-All universal remote, and my booklet says the setup code for a Curtis Mathes TV (without a built-in DVD or VCR) is one of the following numbers: 0030, 0047, 0054, 0060, 0093, 0145, 0154, 0166, 0451, 0702. I can not guarantee these numbers will work with your remote, but it is worth a try.
