Depending on where exactly the leak is coming from, it could be a drain hose, drain pump, or tub seal. If this is a top-loader, here's how you can tell:

1. If the leak is coming from the BACK area under the washer, this can be caused by a leaking fill hose, dispenser hose, drain hose, or fill valve.
2. If the leak is coming from UNDER the center area of the washer, this could be your tub seal, a crack in the tub, or an air dome hose leak. NOTE: If the air dome hose is leaking, the washer will fill continuously and not turn off.
3. If the leak appears to be coming from the FRONT under the washer, this could be your drain pump, or drain hoses.

Posting a model number, could assist with determining how your washer is configured. I suspect you may have a drain pump leaking as this is the most common cause, but I want to be sure.

The water pump is on the bottom front center and is probably the cause of the leak. Use the attached video to show you how to access the inside of the machine to check the pump. Disregard the other parts of the video.

Problem turned out to be a leak from the top, not the bottom and was caused by debris blocking an overflow trap

SOURCE: washing machine is leaking from bottom

Take front off and see where leak is coming from. Most common is either a split hose or bad tub seal. Please contact me if you need further help or leave feedback if appropriate as that is how I get paid. Thanks for letting me help you!

Sheets Or Comforters? This Normally Occurs With An Overload Such As Pillows And Comforters Due To The Large Circumference. Which Simply Means That Anything That Has A Large Area Will Make The Water Come Over The Top Because When The Machine Is Running The Spin Cycle The Large Area Of Fabric Covers The Side Of The Machine. Actually Causing Water To Spin Off The Top Of The Fabric And Over The Sides Of The Washing Machine Bucket Thus Ending Up On The Floor Below.

SOURCE: WASHING MACHINE LEAKING FROM BOTTOM

Check the two lengths of 1/4" plastic tubing, the long one that runs from the filler at the botton left side of the tub, and the short one that runs from the load switch (water level switch) to the shield assembly (formed plastic cover for the controls). When under pressure, the tubing can come loose from the plastic nipple on either side of the shield, leaking water while the tub is filling. If either length of tubing is detached from the nipple, reattach the tubing and use a 1/4" hose clamp to prevent it from detaching again.

I have roper washing machine

I don't know if the agitator is turning or not but the whole agitator is lose from the bottom part of the agitator. The washer also leaks. We have checked all of the hoses etc and there is no problem with that. We wonder if the leak isn't coming from the agitator being lose.
