Check the remote control for its infrared emission. If found OK, check and replace the infrared sensor in the TV. If you wish to get more details, check this link. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Selecting the view option, either to Mosaic / Time slide, can be selected by the drop-down list, at the top left of the display window, will make surf easy. You can also do a search, by type in the brand name/model number/IC used, in the search box at the top right of the display window.

What is the model number and manufacturer of the TV you are trying to control with the CT-90157 remote?

Not all IR codes are programmed into all remotes.

Will my tv remote work on my converter box?

If the tv remote is the original TV remote, it won't control the converter box (if this is an digital-to-analog converter). If it is another remote, then maybe. It depends on the remote and when it was programmed.

Most remotes are limited to codes for devices released at least 6 months before the remote was programmed. Thus is your TV remote was programmed in late 2006, then it may have the right code. Some universal remotes support the converter boxes; others don't. If you provide additional information on the remote, I may be able to give you more specific details for your situation.

I hope this helps.

Remote

this is from your producer: Product Description ? BASIC OPERATION OK ? everyone knows what a handheld remote control unit does for your home electronics. You can control your basic four (4) components: TV, DVD player, VHS player, Cable or Satellite tuner. Setup is simple for these basic 4? put in the batteries, look up the manufacturer of your component (Mitsubishi TV) and note the possible 3-digit ?program codes?? turn on the component, press the remote control?s PROGRAM button until the light stays red, press the component button (i.e., TV), enter in the ?program code?, and press the ?power off button? ? if the component (i.e., TV) turns off: you are programmed! If the component (i.e., TV) doesn?t turn off, then repeat the sequence using another of the manufacturer?s program codes until it does. Easy ? took me about 3 minutes to program my old Zenith TV (in the bedroom), my SONY DVD player, and my Mitsubishi S-VHS player. No problems at all. HOWEVER, in case you do run into a component for which the ?program codes? don?t work? you can go through a sequence to self-identify the coding. While I won?t go into it here, it is only slightly more time consuming than the other method. As my codes worked fine, I can not address this aspect, so I won?t make a claim we didn?t test.
