Maytag MFI2067AES Icemaker is frozen and cannot be used. It is now a solid block of ice. Please don't suggest using a hairdryer. It does it all the time. Also a hairdryer is useless without dismantling the icemaker. The icemaker cannot be removed while it is a solid block of ice. The water supply solenoid is shutting off OK.

Is the fill tube clog? the ice maker is not going to harvest mode. Take the ice maker cover off and put a jumper on T and H hole the dial will turn and wait until you hear the click remove the jumper. make sure you have gloves on. Do this at your own risk, if you are not sure call a servicer. If the dial won't turn you have a bad ice maker (if you have a 115 volts to the ice maker).

SOURCE: We have a maytag refrigerator

Emptyed out freezer unit & shut it off. Took a hair dryer and blew hot air for about 3 minutes on ice maker unit just in case it had an ice block. Left door open and let is stand for about 10 minutes. Turned everything back on and it started making ice.

SOURCE: icemaker not filling with water

Try using an hairdryer or defrosting the unit completely , this often get rid of blockage caused by frozen lines fixing the problem.

The water lines can also be unblocked from dirt using a thin flexible shaft. This after defrosting.

If all that does not fix the problem, then you may need to replace the water valve, the icemaker solenoid, or the whole icemaker assembly.

SOURCE: MAYTAG MFI2067AES ICEMAKER NEEDS REPLACING

2 things possibly: check brackets and see if they need to be moved inward or outward as in they have bracket catches on the brackets so when you remove the screws the icemaker just doesn't fall off the wall of the unit, also check the center of the machine you may still have a screw holding the assy thats hidden

Icemaker not making ice

Hi

Please check the water inlet valve, it might be frozen or blocked with mineral deposit. Use a hair dryer to remove the blockage. Make sure the water inlet valve's screen is not blocked. If the issue persists, then the water inlet valve has gone bad, use a multimeter to test the water inlet valve's continuity. Use a multimeter to test the continuity. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Remove door and icemaker from bottom freezer model 59673914200 -- icemaker wont turn

The ice maker switch had come unattached due to excess ice buildup, and frozen to the ice pack. The ice in the ice maker had also frozen into a solid block due to not being able to rotate. After removing the drawer trays and protecting the frozen food, turning off the refridgerator, I used a hair drier to melt and remove the ice from the ice maker, gave it time to dry out, -- No gears wer stripped,- the ice maker now works normally.

Whirlpool icemaker

Your unit has infered sensors on the frezzer left and right walls. There is a diagnostic test sheet brown in color in your kick plate. All you have to do is open frezzer door look on the right sensor it should blink twice followed by a 1-2 sec delay,if that is good press in flapper door on right sensor do not block path of infered beam you will not see a beam its invisable.Once you hold in flapper on right sensor the led should be solid. If solid optics are good if not solid led replace optic sensors
