I have a Necchi model 537FA. When u step on petal, it won't move. Does this machine have 2 BELTS? I only see one. I have oiled before running.

If you don't have any movement or hear the machine attempting to sew, you may have a burnt out pedal.
You should hear a slight hum when pressing on the pedal. If you don't hear a hum, the pedal is probably dead.
These can usually be ordered from the merchant who sold you the machine.

My Necchi 537fa is sewing sluggish. Motor spins but needle moves slow. What do I do to fix this?

If your Necchi has an external motor, take the belt off and run it.... is the motor sluggish? If so... that's where you start. motors need to be oiled, typically with oil and grease ports on either end of the motor housing.

If the motor spins up nicely,... you need to clean and oil the rest of the machine. Start underneath if the bottom workings are exposed, oil all the places where metal joins metal. Then do the bobbin and feed dog area... then look along the top and sides for oil parts.. give them a drop or two...Finally, see if you can get into the head where the take up lever and such are... oil the needle bar, presser foot bar, etc.

It's a dirty job... so prepare a good space for your machine. Liquid Wrench will help you free up gunked up and rusty parts. Fine grade steel wool (0000) and Cotton swabs help.

Good luck

I have inherited a Necchi 537FA. When I wind a bobbin I loosen the stop motion wheel, but the sewing mecfhanism doesn't disconnect, it still "sews" through the entire bobbin winding procedure! ...

Its been idle for too long and needs a good service. Try and trickle some oil behind the stop motion wheel. But what it actually needs is to have the wheel removed and then apply oil to the shaft. Careful when you start again as oil will fly out from the wheel so mind your drapes and wall decor.

I have a Necchi 537FA sewing machine. It sill sew about 39 stitches and then the thread gets caught in the bobbin area and stope sewing. I've cleaned, changed bobbins, spent time trying to fix the...

have you checked to see if the needle is bent-lay the needle on a flat surface & roll the needle over,, if the needle does not roll good -replace
blunt needle-if the needle makes a popping sound when the needle penetrates the fabric,,the needle is blunt-replace
sometimes if the thread comes off the thread take-up lever it can jam the thread in the bobbin area
try rethreading the machine
check to make sure the thread isn't wrapping around the spool pin
check the spool of thread to see if the notch on the spool is catching the top thread
check to see if there's a burr on the bobbin case
I hope one of these suggestions helps you
