9403 monarch printer/hooked to lantronix print server

Have a monarch 9403 in seriel 1 and the job keeps saying it is printed but physically it is not. Have tried...Resetting up the printer, unplugging the server and replugging them in. Getting no errors with no problems on the printer or system just physically not printing the job itself

If the printer doesn't react when you send a print job to it (either prints, or displays an error code on the display) and just sits there doing nothing, it generally means the print job didn't get to the printer. Check your communication settings. The printer comm settings must match the settings in your software. The default comm settings on the printer are:
Baud : 9600
word length: 8
stop bits: 1
parity: none
flow control: dtr

Monarch printer drivers for SAP?

Hey, I assume you managed to get this working a long time ago, but in case anyone else is struggling:

* Install the SAPSprint service on a suitable windows server.

* Install the Seagull Scientific drivers for the Monarch printers. you can get them here:
https://www.seagullscientific.com/driver...

Don't worry that this says 9855, it contains drivers for the entire Monarch range.

* Set the Output Device Type to SWIN in SAP. There are no Monarch specific drivers in SAP.

* Print and be merry!

We tried the same with the recommended NiceLabel drivers for the Monarch printers, but this failed miserably. The Seagull drivers worked first time with SWIN mode in SAP.

Good luck !

The Monarch 9403 does not print out multiples of labels continuously, it stops between each single label. Can you help? Cheers Debbie

Debbie,

I may need a little more information.

If you are using a 3rd part software application like that from Loftware, you may need to create your labels in such a manner that the print module prints strips of labels, and in the quantity that you need. Then the printer should produce the quantity each time you go to print.

If you are using a 3rd party driver, like that from Seagull Scientific, then you need to tell it to print that quantity, just like you would when printing something on your inkjet printer.

If you are sending the printer's native language directly to the printer, there is something called the format header. It looks something like this:

{B,1,N,1|

The second 1, is the quantity of labels. So if you want it to print 5, you need to change it to something like...

{B,1,N,5|

If neither of these make sense, please provide some additional details so that I may provide further assistance.

How do Iget into the gear area of my Monarch 9400 Printer

The Ink reals and printhead assembly are all mounted on the single
black plastic mold which is held down by three mounting screws. Two
of the mounting screws are up front ; one within a long thin well, the
third is in back. Any long thin Philips Screw Driver will do.

Paxar Monarch 9403 Thermal serial to usb

The 9403 has no USB port, you must use a serial to usb adapter into the pc and select the COM port that you assign to the adapter.
