Hi, to obtain a better sound I am using a Marantz CD player connected to my Lifestyle 12 system.
As I think the integrated amplifier is not the best, I would also like to use my Proton instead.
As a result, I would like to use my Lifestyle unit in an other room and connect my amplifier to the Acoustimass + 2 cubes.
Does anyone know if a standard amplifier can drive this and what kind of cables or adaptors would fit?
Thanks in advance for your help,
Franck
Well u didn't include any models # for the proton or "cubes" so all I can speak too is a simple heads up lesson about amp loading , most modern integrated amps look for a 4 ohm load for its speakers , this is saying total load , so if one was to connect say two speakers (plus to plus and minus to minus) assuming the speakers are 4 ohm already this would divide down to only 2 ohms (this would heat up the amp and affect it working ) but also if the speakers are say 8 ohms each then this divides down to 4 ohms (and the amp would see two as only one ) , also wire length between speakers counts as well , assuming most speaker rated size wire is say .023 ohms per foot this would also have to be added to the total load the amp see's , there are far more technical ways of running longer wires to other rooms but this involves impedance matching transformers and the like . so I'll not discuss them

this is possible, however not a very good idea.
Bose speakers are designed a little different than other brand speakers, the Equalizer built into the bose system will probably not sound amazing when you hook up your other speakers. Are you looking for more bass? cleaner highs?
if you want more bass, you could try doubling up your subs, if you want cleaner highs you could buy Bose Jewel Cube Speakers (purchased from a Bose Built-Invisible Dealer

Better is a subjective term. Simpler vs complex is more accurate. I'd go for the separate components if conspicuity is NOT required and to allow unlimited future growth. Sub/sats have their place but nothing beats having full-range speakers alll around the room with some real horsepower to push them.

Hello
The impedence of all speakers are [3.5 Ohms]. May connected upto [6Ohms] instead, provided the output will be a little less. Bass module cannot be connected with other sources. If you are intented to hear the music on an other room you can add speakers. For more detail, go to page [29] of its user manual, where all details and switching data are provided. All cannot be send by this window, as it will be out or capcity of this answer window. If you haven't its user manual with you now, send your email address to me by FixYa. I'll send a copy of it to you by return mail.OK.
