I have Nokia 1100, battery is dead & won't charge

Initially, have you checked the 30A main fuse? It would be inside the starter relay. To locate the starter relay, follow the cable from the battery's + terminal.

they make a charger called a battery tender which keeps your battery topped at all times with a trickle charge. get one and your batteries won;t die.

Change your mobile battery, if still the same problem persists. get checked up your mobile to nokia authorized personal.

when you were upgrading the phone i hope you checked compatability and had a fully charged battery as this can cause the glitch you are describing. tthe only solution is for the phone to be flashed using a nokia flasher. i do provide that service if you cant get someone locally to this. my personal email [email protected]

take the phone and have the LCD replaced

this will be easer than you think.
first unplug power cord,pull out your battery and test it by pushing the button on the battery. It will be dead. leave it out. plug in power cord, nothing should work. test your power cord. if nothing than test lower on the cord it might be the plug in that plugs into the laptop. what happens is the battery get to low and the lappy goes into a safe mode . you will need a charged battery to get it to boot.

your battery is a dead cell or your battery is not working any more, change your  battery for new one
