2007 Hyundia Sonata Brake Lights

I have a 2007 Hyundia Sonata and the 3rd (upper center) brake light works, but the other brake lights don't. The bulbs and the brake fuse (stop fuse in box) look like they are OK. Any Suggestions

the left & right brake lamps are dual filament bulbs, remove both outer bulbs and check both filaments, and check for black fogging on the glass.

i suggest replacing them regardless of what they look like, the filament can have an open in it, but still look ok.

also, take a pedal depressor to hold the brake pedal down, then take a test light and check if the sockets are getting power.

when you turn on your headlamps, to your taillamps come on?

2008 Sonata. Which fuse is for the 3rd light?

Same as brake lights. Fuse 8. If your brake light and rear sidelights work, the bulb has burned out.

Why won't my replacement 3rd brake light work?

The 3rd brake light does not flash with the flashers. It works independently and only with the brake pedal. Have someone step down on the brake pedal while you check to see if the light comes on.

Rear break light will not go on but rear window break light will

could be the light itself, the red brake wire that comes off the rear brake lights that feeds this stop light, sometimes things get shoved against this wire and its cut,or if it splits off in the frame,it could also be broken here too

2006 Sonata brake lights don't work except rear deck light.

Check the connection at the brake light switch for power comming out to the barke lights, try feeding power to the brake lights manualy using a jumper wire from your fuse box or battery, unplug the wire from the switch and put power to the harness if everything is OK the brake lights will work, then you need a new switch.
