Power board for 37pf5521d
hello!
You don't need to replace power supply in most cases. If you can to the board itself, it buried deep under metal shield, up side down, remove it from the set by unscrewing 6 machine screws, unplugging few plastic connectors. Be careful, connectors are fragile, gently move those in every direction, while pulling out male part of connectors. You will find at least 1 "bloated" electrolytic capacitor, remove and replace those. It's good have "in circuit" capacitor checker to determine quality of "hot side" of power supply capacitors. If you won't find and replace those, small: 1mf 10mf or 22mf, your set will start up, might even work fine for a while, then will quit for good! I've seen that happen! If you don't have capacitor gizmo, then replace all small electrolytic capacitors on "hot" side of power supply. "hot" is that side, what connects to main power in plug area, contents one large capacitor, I.C. chip diver, power mosfet, etc. worst case scenario: if you can't replace those parts yourself, remove the board and take to local TV repair shop. It won't cost you that much to do so, compare to complete TV repair.
Good luck,
Alex.
