unplug the blu ray for 10 minutes try again, your blu ray is definitely still covered by warranty? instead of trying to update the firmware it might be best to contact your dealer. upgrading the firmware might get rid of the warranty in some cases.

Have you updated the firmware on it? I had a similar problem with a Sony blu-ray player and I had to download an update and burn it on to a CD then allow the CD to update the blu-ray player. What's the model number of your player, I may be able to get a link to the update for you.

U tries to play more Blu Ray discs,than just that one?Because that one it could have a cracks or a dirty and scratches Blu Ray disc.Having problems with many Blu Ray discs,have to upgrade or reinstall the unit main firmware program.
